  1. bigpantsbaby AKA carl, are you serious about selling your car mate?? if you are 100% serious. send me a pm with what you are looking for (money wise) cheers karl. oh shite, i could be really in the dog house with the missus (again)
  2. i believe that an R32 with emerald is good for approx 300bhp :) this is the reason i'm going this route 300bhp N/A, i love my charger but its just that it has never ran 100%. and if i want more power with the R32?? then i can do it on a much newer engine, and the stand alone ECU will be there. it also helps as i already have an R32 engine/loom in the garage. i will be calling storm though about there plug n play option though.
  3. oh dear??? i seem to have read the full 30 pages three times in the last 2 days :) i need to make my mind up where i'm going next with my car. so who lives closest to birmingham with an R32 corrado thats running :) karl
  4. here's an old pic of it with the RC's on, loads more has been done to it since taking this picture. maybe i should take some more recent pics????
  5. hi Jon, no mate the "other" winter wheels have been cleaned/chromed/painted 8) so will be my new summer wheels. hence why i'm selling the RC's :( and thanks for the offer of taking the RC's off my hands for £50 Michael  karl
  6. why has this thread gone into members gallery?? i put it into the exterior section?? this is not my members gallery thread. just showing people that you can get some bargains if your a cheeky git  can the MOD who moved it here, put it back where i put it. thanks karl
  7. yeh they were a bargain Michael. i saw them, asked the guy how much he wanted for them? he said £75 but i got him down to £50
  8. well since i have taken the RC's off the car, and selling them :( seeming i have my rather nice new BBS LM's for summer 8) i needed some winter alloys. so went to a local scrap yard, and bought some 16" TT alloys i think they look rather nice on the car?? and they make the TT front brakes look even bigger :) must say it does handle slightly better than the RC's, but they are no where near as nice looking. oh yeh, they also only cost £50 with virtually brand new bridgestone potenza's 8) karl
  9. i doubt it mate, they are massive brakes 340mm if i remember right?? plus the callipers are miles bigger than the TT312's. but you be the guinea pig for us all, and let us all no how you get on though :) karl
  10. massive thanks to BILLCOR he said he posted the vr induction kit on tuesday, and on wednesday it arrived, and all the way from fife to birmingham. cheers mate, karl. :)
  11. i've got the corrado, BMW540i, seat leon, and a vw bora. will have to be selling one soon though to make way for the new car??? and trust me the corrado is going nowhere :)
  12. mines been charged for approx 16months, and never had a problem. had to change the belt twice (20minute job) and thats been it. the car is my daily driver also doing approx 8k a year. i have a BM540 and also a seat leon on the drive, and the corrado 99% of the time gets driven??? i wonder why  but both the cars nicks and guys are both stunning cars, neither should give you any trouble. karl
  13. as for the power you can get from a rotrex, look at this. a guy on vr6oc (lizardracing) has the following engine spec 83mm JE forged pistons, standard compression. Scat Forged connection rods. Rotrex C30-84 with 70mm pulley. Stainless steel decompression plate 8.7:1. Doherty Racing 268 Cams. Aquamist 1S 50/50 Methanol/Water 0.7 jet. Dubpower 6-branch stainless exhaust manifold and full system with CAT bypass. 520cc injectors. PWR charge cooler. Pace pre-rad and brushless pump. 10.8mm silicone HT leads. Emerald ECU mapped by Storm developments. Balanced crank. Lightened and balanced Flywheel. SPEC 3+ cerametallic clutch. Forge dump valve with 30PSI spring. 3 bar Weber MAP sensor. and look at this for a power graph  very spooky this, as i have just noticed he's username on here. karl
  14. my present corrado had a new engine fitted by VW 5 years ago 8) and the run in instructions read, run upto 3000rpm for 1000 miles then do an oil change, then upto 4000rpm for another 1000 miles then do another oil change, then upto 4000rpm (again) for another 1000 miles then do another oil change. then?? cane the arse of it  also according to VW all the oil changes should be done using sytna silver. karl
  15. what do ya mean when i turn up?? i'm staying the night, WITH YA SISTER
  16. well i have no problem with you coming down dave 8) but i suppose its up to Rob to say yes/no. where did you get the 6 core from dave??? karl
  17. you getting excited yet Rob??????????????????????
  18. jodie at midland vw is very good at servicing vr's he has had he's fair share of them  but to be honest they are very easy to service youself though. but 288's i would strongly suggest, lupo wipers. and non tractor suspension would be my first things to do. karl
  19. I'm helping rob install he's rotrex charger on saturday. but have gotta re-locate the MAF as per the vortech's so what AMP cable should we use for extending it??? cheers karl
  20. i'm having a complete and utter blonde day today??????? oh well may just offer £500 delivered then.
  21. for some reason i though it said 2005????? haven't even had a beer yet  i have put an offer in for them, so will see what he says?? oh yeh i presume my 312's will fit in them :? anyone wanna buy 5 17" RC's :)
  22. theres a set on ed38 at the moment, http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.p ... pic=107982 seeing them on a corrado made me want them, at the moment i cant afford the £650 (bloody turbo kit malarky) but i will be trawling vwvortex for a cheaper set. does anyone know if they were ever available in the UK??? and yeh, being a A8 only ever available in 5/112 karl
  23. hi Chris, you found the belt tensioner then??? i also had the iridiums in mine for ages, but when i needed/wanted some new ones, i did not fancy paying for the iidiums so put some mk216v plugs in (miles cheaper :) ) and no difference at all, in fact the cold start in marginally better. karl
  24. i WILL be getting a set of these, think they look superb on a corrado 8) they are Audi A8 winter wheels. Karl.
  25. ok cheers guys, no kev the turbo kit was not the one from off the vr6oc, but a mates mate of a mate??? he needs to sell it after being copped doing over twice the speed limit  so needs to sell this kit to pay off the fine he will be getting. i'm not gonna help him with the time inside though. i have e-mailed the company about what you said dave :thumb right: ideally i want the schimmel, but just cant justify it at the moment. :( but they also do this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BRAND-NEW-LIQUID- ... dZViewItem which is a virtuall schimmel copy, probably not as well made/designed. they also do a rather nice intercooler http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/INTERCOOLER-Polis ... dZViewItem a while ago i saw this turbo manifold/downpipe kev, http://www.eiptuning.com/eip/turbomanifolds.html they look very good as the turbo will be lower down so they should get some nice cold air flowing over them?? i will get some pics ASAP, karl
