thanks for that Dave :thumbleft: they don't look very difficult at all?? well compared to the rear seats, they dont look difficult :) give me a couple of weeks, and it should all be done  cheers mate. karl
-
yeh if you could do dave, 8) and please as many pics as you could take. sorry for being a pain  karl

sorry for sewing those seeds of thought mate  i agree with rodders though, the standard cloth seats do give more support than the leather recaro's, mainly due to the high thigh support on the standard cloth seats, also you slide around on leather  but do i care??? have a look at the FK range of seats, they did a really nice contoured seat, other than that really get some recaros from a ford rs (sorry) and get them re-trimmed in new leather (£400-£700) or these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PAIR-OF-LEATHER-R ... dZViewItem dont forget german e-bay, http://cgi.ebay.de/FRONT-SEAT-LEDER-REC ... dZViewItem just telling you all this mate, as these were my choices when looking at doing my interior. karl

would all the people with leather interiors mind taking some pics of there doorcards for me??? i need some really good pics, so i can get the doorcards finished. i have some material all cut for the templates, but need to see how it is all sewn together, and the angles of the sewing?? sounds stupid, but i want to get them right :) cheers karl

well after 3 years of searching, i have finally got a 5th BBS RC alloy wheel, bought it off e-bay brand new with centre cap for a bargain £42 inc delivery. well chuffed

cheers for the quick photoshop rob, they do look cool with the red doorcards, i did have a slight problem with the rear of the seats being vinyl, but all i did was as soon as i sprayed the dye on, i used a hairdryer to dry it quicker, and when the final protective coat went on, it set just fine, put it this way the sides of the seat are vinyl also. but can you tell??? i'm in the process of cutting out the leather for the doorcards, and it looks like i might have enough leather left over for the headlining also. as for the tilting of the seats, i have 2 old windscreen motors lying around  the subframes were very easy, i took my seats/some old mk2 golf seats to a mate, he then chopped and fabricated some subframes for me, they are a perfect height for me, will keep on trawling german e-bay for some proper electric subframes in the future though. thanks for the positive replys. karl

cheers guys, i would take a bow Andy, but it may hurt head butting the computer table  i will be taking on the doorcards next, after my "suspected stroke" illness, i have the use of my right side again, so i'm up to sewing again. so give me about 2 weeks, and the doorcards will hopefully be done. karl

well done the seats, i'm very very pleased with the results. there is 100% no black showing through, it feels like leather. and i have red recaro's in my corrado, not many people can say that 8) just sorting a unique way of seat tilting  karl

oh dear, sounds like a heater matrix :( is he loosing water from the expansion bottle?? if not?? check the plastic membrane on the drivers door, karl

robbing little s**ts, but get yourself to your nearest volvo garage  they stock the BBS dust caps, and the last time i got 4, they cost £3.80 for all four, when you put them on tough, use a spanner just to tighten them one turn more than you can by hand, it makes them very difficult to get off then  oh yeh, very nice corrado mate. karl

halfords will mix the paint, and put it into an aerosol can. you just need the paint code, and about a tenner. i have used there paint many times, and it has allways been a very good match.
-
do it yourself, its so easy. even Jim has managed some DIY spraying  and he will admit to not being the most talented sprayer, get the primer/spray/lacquer/assorted wet n dry, from halfords. much more satisfying when you do it yourself  karl

sounds like a perfectly good thing to do, so if anyone wants these?? get onto vwvortex, and express the fact you want the needle kits, and you are from the UK. is that a good idea???

that is spooky leon i had this -mail from the guy in the states about an hour ago. Hi Karl, I never thought anyone would be interested in that MOD which was honestly just a hobby but now everybody is contacting me in making them. Those things are very time consuming to make and making 10 to 20 kits is not an easy task at all. I only produce 3 kits a week because I do have a full time job and a life too. I already have close to 40 members waiting for theirs and making them is just 1 part because there is still the issue of finding needles From a specific Audi model and modifying them. So you see its not something you or myself can just buy at the dealer or parts store. I source my Audi clusters from either eBay and a junk yard. The needles will not function correctly without the right mods to them and explaining as to what needs to be done to them would be crazy. I would be here all night trying to type. I say give me a month so i can clear my plate of the other kits i still need to get finished. My kits are all hand made and that is where each and every single one is carefully perfected. I would hate to send you a rushed piece of crap and later have you bash me on VORTEX for it. I really hope you understand my situation but yes i will start making the 20 as soon as i can. so when i do hear back from him, i will start a GB for them 8) karl

(birmingham people will get what i'm talking about) karl
