Almsot Final T-Shirt Designs Page 4! - updated 01/20/05
Louie Lungbubble replied to Red=Fast's topic in General Car Chat
Yep. That outline is spot on. Wasn't too sure about the first one. -
My roof strips are totally shot too. In the thread kerrinmay's put up above, Andy665 wrote in October last year there were only 7 pairs left and VW have discontinued them. Probably got bob-hope of there being any left by now. :(

Hey lads, if it's any help I've got one here which I printed off a while back but never got round to sending. If it's saves Steve fannying round with postage etc, I can fax it off to whoever needs one. Wasn't some-one yesterday desperate for one to get his insurance people off his back?

single beep when going round a tight bend???

Ha ha... Yeah, should've put that. The above is assuming your oil levels are ok in the first place! -
single beep when going round a tight bend???

Been discussed a few times before, this mate. More often than not it's the white oil pressure switch / sensor losing the plot when a bit of lateral G gets a hold of it. Same was happening on mine. Don't rely on it though. you never know. Could be a warning of something ugly about to happen with the oil pump! -
What a nightmare. At least you got his details though mate. Silver lining and all that. I returned to my car in an ASDA car park, to find an absolute peach of a dent in my drivers wing a month or so back. No-one there when i parked up. No-one there when I came back to it. Just this little gift from another inconsiderate passenger who probably didn't know how fat her arse was.

And then some top shower action courtesy of "Big Bubba"

 All this technical jargon is waaaaay over my head! Are you talking about the gas ram sringy thing, or the parcel shelf rubbery springy thingy?
-
Heh heh, Cheers Gibber. TBH I can actually get the car up my ramps. Takes a bit of fannying round with bricks and wood, like you suggested, but I can get it there. Funnilly enough though mate, I spend more time up your neck of the woods than I do in Skem. My bird lives near the Heinz factory. Whereabouts in Wigan are you? Have never spotted either of your cars knocking around.
-
Can't put the C on my ramps BECAUSE of the bumper. Stupid thing scrapes, so I'd have to take it off BEFORE driving on! Oh the irony... Cheers though. Think I'll do a proper job by by de-bumpering, if it's only a few bolts.
-
Sheeeeeite... I may just glue the fecker in. Is de-mounting the bumper as much of a pain in the hoop as I'm suspecting?
-
Had one of those little flip down towing eye caps below the bumper snap on me a while back after I broke down and had a 'spirited' tow home on a solid bar by a deranged mate. I've now got one of the blighters on order from the stealers (14 quid... Robbing gets!) and I'm picking it up on Friday. Thing is, I've had a quick look at how they're fitted on, and it seems to be with 2 inaccessible pop rivets right inside the bumper. Has anyone else fitted one of these, and if so, did it involve taking the whole bumper off? Cheers.

Grey Corrados: Niiiiice. Looks cool Henny. Can't wait to see the end result. Heh Heh... I wonder if this car realises it's about to get bionic'd up! :)
-
I think we have a winner! Sounds like the most probable thing. Ah well, MORE money. Think i need a new CV joint as well
-
What's up with Allegro's? Any car with a square steering wheel's ok by me!
-
I like it too. As VR6 said, it looks like it's the rarest of rares that is the kahki Corrado colour option. Seem to remember a thread about it a while back. You'd certainly turn a few heads, cruising down the high street in that! (Why has it got black mirrors thoough?)
-
As in a bounce. Not suspension. Defo coming through the clutch. It's as if the clutch is only biting on one half of its surface as it spins, which results in a kind of jerky bouncey movement (fnarr fnarr), and it's impossible to reverse the fecker smoothly. The clutch isn't giving any of the other usual signs of being about to give up, which is why i'm scratching my head.

I've said it before mate.... Vivisection: The only way forward for these scrotes. Send them to ICI and see how cool they look with shampoo in their eyes. 8)

HAHaHaHa Gav, My missus lives in Wigan. I think I've seen the same car!! The place is CRAWLING with the creme-de-la-creme of chav sub-culture! Makes me howl with laughter every time, when they razz on by.
-
Can anyone offer a suggestion as to why, when reversing, my clutch (and car) bounce like a £100 cheque from a spotty chav? A pub-mechanic once promised me it's only the plates out of alignment, but I'm wondering if it's not just the whole thing on its way out. Any ideas? Ta.

People in general! There you are, coming up to pass someone on a dual carriageway when they decide that the left hand lane just isn't quite wide enough for them, and the best thing they could do at that moment is drift onto and over the white lines forcing you into the gutter before they snap out of the daze they're in and feck back off to where they should be! :bad-words:
-
Looks like the bloke had been to Aldi and forgotten the venison steaks.... Cheapskate couldn't be arsed going back for them!
-
Me too. But only now that I've got my head round the trials and tribulations of C ownership with my 1.8 valver. If I was in G 's position I'd defo go for a 1.8 16v and throw any money left over from the 2k at sorting some of the bits out. Just my 2 & 6pence

Corrado at high speed in wind????
Louie Lungbubble replied to godskitchen's topic in General Car Chat
Given that mine oversteers more than a RWD car, I think it's rear axle bush inspection time for me too...... How's it done?
