No probs mate. Good luck. And when you find one, get some piccys up! :)

Condition should be quite good for that, but you may not be able to get hold of one of the very last ones. Again, as was said yesterday the mileage is getting irrelevant on model of car that's gonna be at least 9 years old. Condition and service history is the thing to look for. Trim wise... there's only cloth / leather recaros (and much rarer, air con) to differentiate between the valvers, so dont worry too much about it. Take a stroll over to the "For Sale" section to see what's going, but a lot of the cars on here have been modded, so comparing prices to a standard one may not be that simple. There's also a "Pre-viewing" section where a polite request can result in a seasoned Corrado owner going to look at a potential motor with you. HTH.

Hello Jimbo. Welcome to the forum mate. As someone said to a similar question yesterday, 4k will get you a a stonking 2.0 valver, but a VR for the same price might be a bit ropey. Also if the VR you've seen is on 100k, it wont be too long before the head'll need rebuilding. If it aint already been done, that'll hit you in the wallet big time! (thick end of £1k i think) Happy hunting mate.

Hmmm... Can't remember off had what the excess is on this policy. Think it's about £150-200 Will have to ask "Dick Turpin Direct" what diff putting it up a ton will make. Who are HIC anyway? The name doesn't ring a bell More to the point, has anyone had to make a claim from them? That's when you find out if insurance companies are a shower of sh*ts or not, Isn't it?

Jeisus! Think I'll be doin some hardcore shopping round next month when renewing. Dunno if my area is the reason, but I couldn't get anywhere near those figures when getting quotes this time last year. 32 yo Full NCD Clean license Standard 1.8 Securitied up to the eyeballs with 6k per year mileage limit Fully comp, With protected NCD and a few bells and whistles. £450 Seems like some of you lot are paying less then that on VR's Lowest quote i got for one of those was a grand  Burst out laughing when that one came back!
-
Mine's limited to 6k per year with Norwich Union Direct. Thought all insurers had limited mileage policies, as I've always been asked the annual mileage question when getting quotes. Question is though, what happens if you go over? Think I'll end up with about 6.5 k this year. Normally only do about 4.5 k, but this is my first year of Corrado ownership and I didn't take into account that I'd end up looking for ANY excuse to jump in it and go for a spin! :)

:thumb right: :thumbleft: That's the MOT hell over with for another year! And all it cost me was a new brake pedal rubber (£3.70) a cable tie and a splodge of mastic on the exhaust. Why cant EVERY year be like that?

I've read the VR boys talking about these, but wasn't sure if all the engines had them. Sort of hoping (if I've got one) mine's knackered, cos the threads I've seen said replacing one that's faulty gives some horsepower back. Apparently the engine goes into `limp` mode when these sensors go t!ts up :?:

My boss had an F reg Alpina B10 a few years back. Didn't know they were even turbo'd at all. Loveley motor though.
-
Henny. Did you bring her round to meet JDUB, and get it's approval before becoming involved?
-
Was it a (First twin turbo car that springs to mind)... 300ZX?
-
And 2.9 litres of throbbing muscle torque  (oo-er, I've only got a one point eight!)
-
Ditto... Get going on a cable-tie-athon :?
-
Oh well. It didn't quite get the clean sheet yours did Joe, but I've had much, much worse. Brake pedal rubber missing. Handbrake cable rubbing on rear wheel. And ironically enough, the back box passed, but the centre section was blowing! Only needs re-sealing at the joint though, so no great drama My credit card's just breathed a sigh of relief. Was preparing myself for the cost of a full system there! 8)

A good few years ago I too thought momo arrows looked great . This is when though, I had an Astra SR to fit them onto. But those wheels you've fitted now (which I like) compared to the arrows, (which I now don't) have made me realise how much my taste has changed in the last few years. Shit.... Does this mean that in maybe another 10 years, I'll look back and cringe at owning a corrado? Tell me it aint so, Daddy......
-
Welcome to the forum Paul. I aint got a clue about your charger, but I'm sure a G60 owner will be along soon enough to help you out.

Last year when i was looking for my C, I seriously considered a 2.2 vtec Prelude when it seemed there where no Corrado's out there to be had. Only the (in my opinion) woeful dash layout and potentially scandalous cost of parts gave me the patience to carry on looking. I think they are quite good looking motors, and the 2.2 Vtec is supposed to be a cracking engine..... But it's just not quite a Corrado, is it? :)

Hope I get the same result. Mine's going in tomorrow morning. Hey that's a thought... does anyone know if a back box would fail for having half of the outer skin rusted and split so it's like a hinged flap over the top of the box? It's not actually blowing, but it don't look too swift :|

Oil Warning Light and Buzzer Going Of Up Hill
Louie Lungbubble replied to Craigs8vgti's topic in Engine Bay
All I'm saying is, when mine was doing exactly the same thing as yours, i changed the little white oil pressure switch that lives on top of the block the oil filter screws up below. (for the life of me I can't think of the correct term for that block  ) But once this small white switch was changed. Problem solved. (I assumed this WAS the thing that controlled the warning buzzer) If you're sure your white pressure switch is ok, then there must be something else going on: Therefore an oil pressure check would be a good place to start -

Oil Warning Light and Buzzer Going Of Up Hill

This problem happens so often, it may be time to make it a `stickie' But it seems to be mate, that the white oil sensor is the first port of call when this happens, but if as you say it's been recently changed then it may be the oil pump on it's way out. A pressure test will tell you for sure. HTH. -
Don't spill any on your paintwork then

What, like help you bleed your brakes?
