I wouldn't even have noticed the noise when not on WOT. I notice a complete change in the noise now on release of WOT tho - no longer has high pithced ping/whistle - now is like a quieter dump valve. Wonder why I don't seem to get a loud constant noise?? I can feel the air from the TB coming out no probs.

Got this mod done today to my G60 with help from Struan - job well done considering how hungover we were. Really happy with it - tidys up the engine bay a bit too. Sounds much better as well :twisted: Made a makeshift catch tank from an evian bottle :D

how many times can you rebuild/port a charger? I assume everytime they are ported they become slightly more fragile?

Must be something in the water in Aberdeen :) Seems like half the corrado board are from Scotland - mostly Aberdeen too. -
If they are the supersports from venom then they are only height adjustable not dampening. I got these fitted last month and am reet proper chuffed with them. The handling difference is huge.

Anyone know what products are best to clean up under the engine? Not intending on a full chrome effort - just some elbow grease and something to remove all the grime :)

Ah well, got mine fitted today. Ended up going for supersports from Venom. Should be picking up car tomorrow or on saturday - hopefully the snow will be on its way by then :x :)

Is this group buy going ahead? I was going to buy some coilovers as I need new front shocks and springs anyhow.(intended getting them this Monday - to get fitted at MOT) After looking about seems like the Supersport ones seem a good buy. So temtped by Koni's tho :/ Has anyone fitted a set of JR coilovers? Awesome GTi suggest these as budgets one and the Konis if spending more. I have enver heard of them but they seem to think they are excellent for the cash.

Get an 8v Gti Mk11 :) The diffence in running costs between a 1.4/1.6 and the gti will be next to none. You'll have the same things needing replaced and not should go wrong. Just dont be in a big hurry - there are HEAPS to choose from :) I would have kept mine as well as the C if I could have, absolutely loved it :) You could also get a highish mileage 325 E36 for that money if you like them. Buy one from an old Grandad or something if you can!

Why dont you remove the side strip? See so many white C's with them and they really stick out on the white. Not think they look better without?

Yeah that looks really good. I think the skirts with a decent bumper can look really good. I want to see some pics of Struans G60 bohemoth now..the photos on the rolling road day showed it with some *really* nice wheels. I think c's totally look suit deep dish and lowered

I would always be wary of a car being sold by a trader (in this case "smart cars") as if it needs work done that is 'suspected', then why don't they bother their arse to fix it before selling it.

500 squid!! even with saying 'niggles' are oil leaks and 'minor engine rattles' thats still a bargain! charger whether on way out is worth that before rebuild. does it have leather? tell me it doesn't...or sell it to me for cheap :) hope you get it up and running well :)
