dubfreeze is on in feb i think ?
-
would probably be worth waiting for the new show season as that should throw up some impressive pics for the calender
-
when you go to see most bands play live the bass is very hard to localise it dosnt appear to come from one spot a mate of mine who is a drummer and producer for quite a well known 90's band has spoken to me about this before and said that when they set up the bass drivers at most of the gigs they place them more towards the side of the stage and audience as the bass is not directional, he said if you close your eyes when a bass note is being played it should be difficult to pin point where the sound is coming from but as a car is more enclosed i suppose its harder for the bass to spread as much and so will sound more localised
-
bass is not as directional as mid range and treble so it would be difficult to make the sub sound like it was in the dash. the bass should really sound as if it is around you not in front of you. when i had my sub inverted (basket out) it did sound better when i flipped the phase by 180, but when i put the sub back in the normal way round it sounded like it was fighting against the other drivers and sounded pretty bad untill i flipped the phase back to normal. it can be very difficult to set up home audio especially when you start getting into dts ES or full THX EX systems where the placement of the speakers is crucial to the overall sound. and when you have one of these it gets even more tricky

so do you have to drill the bonnet whichever ones you use then ?
-
what do we do to collect the pictures for the calender then? do we post a lower res version on here to be voted on and then send a high res one to the person who is making the calender? someone might as well get a vote system up and running even if it is too late for next year as the same may happen again next year  has anyone got the software that makes a large picture out of lots of smaller pictures,(got a starwars one like that) as that would make a cool front page to the calender 8)
-
 yeah i suppose so, dont like the idea of drilling into the bonnet though so i will go for a single sided one, under the bonnet is the only clean and shiney bit of the car at the moment so i might as well make the most of it
-
are there any problems with using these ? can they damage or twist the bonnet ?? might get one if they are ok though does anyone make a dual sided kit as i dont like the idea of just supporting one side ?
-
would be good to get a group pic with as many rado's in as possible for one of the months  anyone good enough with pshop to do a convincing virtual corrado meet :)
-
general consensus on here seems to be steer well clear of jabba not got a very good reputation by all accounts  g-werks on the other hand have an excellent reputation and the lads that work there are all forum members and also offer a discount to forum members 8)

looking 8) not too sure about the wooden brace though  -
sounds like the way forward! My local burn has just had SPECS installed. I aint got a long enough pole to reach  paint ball gun  8)

the control panel building company i used to work for built a high speed barcode scanner for a large mail order company with a 360 degree scanner, the rep who demonstrated the scanning head had a frisbee with a barcode about the same size as the tax disk one and repeatedly threw it passed the scanner and it read it every time, thinking this guy could have set the system to just read anything that was thrown passed it we experimented by throwing other products passed it like wrinkled crisp packets and tins of beans and it read them every time too, and that was 6 years ago so it could be possible to read one on a car, allthough the bar code is actually for traffic wardens to scan with a hand held reader which will then check all of the details match with the database
-
maybe there should be a sticky corrado graveyard thread on here
-
shame :( but im sure its next incarnation will be just as good if not better 8)
-
Dont know Is it wrong ...???? not wrong it just looks out of place there imo  i would have put it in a switch blank myself so as not to damage the dash or is there a blank there anyway as i have the early type controls so i dont know
-
yep i just checked it comes in a paste and liquid, i have a tin of the liquid stuff allready but only thought it was for polishing them up initially i will spend a bit of time cleaning and polishing them up (again) this weekend, do you think a thin layer of waxoyl applied with a cloth would protect them i allways thought the difficult part of keeping bbs rims clean was the spokey bits how wrong i was
-
is peek the metal polish in the silver metal tin ??
-
i would try changing the speakers first and then see how you get on pretty much anything will be an improvement over the original ones what sort of money are you willing to spend? p.s. who put that clifford led there
-
it seems this crappy weather and the salt being spread on the roads at the moment is making a real mess of my rm rims  i am having to wash them every other day at the moment anybody know of a product that i can coat them with to stop the salt damaging them? i dont mind if the coating looks bad as long as it protects the ally and can be removed when the weather improves

the problem is the parents of kids who do this sort of thing dont care either, even if they could give them a slap they would probably be too lazy to get off their 40 a day beer swilling benefit scrounging arses to do it. kids just know they can get away with it, even if they do get caught they know the most they will get is slapped wrists hey ho what can we do
-
you can get face plate adaptors that allow you to put the face where you want like the sun visor for example. or you could put a dummy head unit in filled with thermite and a timer activated when its removed 8) it would be pretty hard to steal another headunit with no fingers
-
the actual bracket that the arm rest bolts into sits up quite high, level with the handbrake trim and is not part of the floor where the seats sit. i would imagine if the one piece rear seat is fitted this bracket would not have been spot welded in and a different trim fitted where the ash tray would normally be :|
-
this allways happens in the run up to christmas, lazy little scumbag druggies who cant be arsed working hard for their money  they would probably only get a few quid for whatever they have stolen no matter how much its worth :( the only way i can see to prevent this (apart from killing all chavs) is securilux on the windows de-locked handles, armour lock plates and a decent alarm but they will probably just end up bending the door frame
