  1. Thank you for actually responding to the question. Yes the shell is good plus the rear arches have been pulled an inch either side. I havent got an expectation of price thats why I have made this post. Thank you again for actually answering the question.
  2. There are no holes where the supercharger and related ancillaries used to be. I took the charger off and have put back the tensioner , the standard fuel pressure reg and the standard run hoses. No offence but Im not asking for options, I am asking for prices. The charger is already sold so that is not even an option - I wouldnt want to go that route anyway. It has been apart three times as it is hence me not wanting to replace the bottom end. My only options are to get a reuilt engine or a very low mileage one otherwise I am not fixing it. I guess you dont know the effort that has gone into it and im trying to to sound rude but enough is enough.
  3. Ive only ever driven a clio round brands hatch on one of their experience days. Handles quite well :)
  4. Most of you know the story of Zed (my supercharged corrado vr6) but here is a quick summary... I bought it as a cat d - it had needed a new slam panel, wing, headlight, bumper, bonnet was repaired (but ive since put a brand new bonnet on)...all cosmetic but all sorted. It was also completly stripped out when I got it and Ive rebuilt it to its current state. 1995 (N Reg)(blackberry) Supercharged Corrado VR6 172k Tax ends July Mot ends August cat 1 alarm and immob. with remote central locking Full service history Has had a brand new bonnet grey leather interior (heated front seats) FK Highsports Newish tyres Borbet A's 5x100 Fronts 7.5x16 et 20, rears 9x16 et 15 (with a spare 7.5 and 9) colour coded delocked passat handles colour coded rocker cover colour coded charger casing colour coded debadged grille colour coded eyebrow colour coded bonnet stay Full length scuttle panel Trimsport Rear strut brace ebc red pads (fronts) Zimmermann cross drilled and vented front disks new standard rear disks (skimmed 3mm) Receipts from previous owners and ive kept all receipts (inc. receipt from when it was bought for £22,500 with a couple thousand miles on - second owner) Various panels sprayed by Chris at the phirms bodyshop no expense spared new head gasket (Checked the head and its fine) new chain tensioners and chains oil catch tank rear badges taken off the rear panel (apart from the VW badge) and smoothed. Front and rear lupo wipers. Half smoked/red rear lights. smoked side indicators K&N Cone filter purple samcos purple SFS hoses ss zorst new clutch ported throttle body Rear arches have been pulled an inch each side (to be able to fit my 9x16 borbet a's under without scraping) and sprayed. Brand new bonnet sprayed and fitted as well as rear panel sprayed - by Chris at The Phirm's bodyshop. new head gasket March 07 , (Checked the head and its fine) ,new chain tensioner March 07 , new thermostat, new valve stem oil seals in March 07 at 167091 miles Head rebuild (New valve guides, valves, valve stem oil seals (again, just because I had a spare set), skimmed, new tappets), New piston rings New Clutch, cam and lower chains, head gasket August 2007 at 169,943 New chain tensioner bolt and pad, new flywheel bolts, new bolts for upper and lower chain covers, new rocker cover bolts February 2008 at 171,477 New mk4 24v tensioner bolt and pad (last longer), new upper and lower chains, new clutch lever arm, new lower chain cover oil seal, new lower tensioner March 2008 at 171,478 Plate included I've probably missed some things but when I remember I'll add them on here. Bad Points- Heater doesnt work (the 3 cables behind the dials need connecting up), sunroof doesn't slide, rattle from engine. Regarding the engine rattle the following parts have been replaced:- Tappets, Upper and Lower Chains, Tensioner bolt has been replaced with a mk4 24v one along with a mk4 24v tensioner pad (last longer), lower tensioner has been replaced as has the oil seal on the side of the bottom chain cover. The rattle does not effect Zed's performance in any way and the oil pressure readings are as they should be. He still pulls like a train and handles fantastically. The rattle is due to a new bottom end being needed. He still drives fine but just uses a little oil and water. Please note he is being sold without the supercharger. What sort of price do you think I should put him up for?
  5. Eventually got my chip through from this guy and my corrado wont run with it in! Put the old chip back in and its fine. It will start then just die. Seeing as the old chip is going with the charger I sold I am now left with a non running fecking corrado!!! :mad2:
  6. now that is a bad day! Fook!
  7. the best thing to do with the isv is to leave it to soak in petrol or carb cleaner overnight=just to make sure it gets rid of all the crap. Regarding the abs light-the easiest thing to do is to make sure the sensors are not covered in crap.
  8. Im thinking chunks of proper ham . yummy
  9. me too! I really want a cheese and ham toastie!!
  10. anyone got a phone number for this seller? I paid for mine on 15th April and he is ignoring my emails etc . I still havent had it through the post!! Its getting urgent now!
  11. welcome to the forum :)
  12. the half black half kwak green sounds good but we do need pics :)
  13. It's difficult to tell really as you can have chains that are noisy that will last for ages yet (as proved on one of my fella's previous rado's). It all depends on the specific corrado really. There are lowish mileage corrados that have had or need the chains done as well as high mileage ones that havent had them done and that are quiet and dont need them done. It's pot luck really lol.
  14. Rang the dealers today and they said the gaskets for the vr6 oil pump are not available anymore. Is this true? It is the gasket that goes from the oil pressure pipe to the oil pump housing. Also does anyone know what size the o rings are? finally, does anybody know if the oil pump comes as a complete unit with the cover and pressure relief valve? Thanks
  15. And how much would you charge for such a service, gonna need a new sunroof motor soon, mines :censored: might be worth sourcing a moonroof replacement [/quote:2nj93nf7] Erm, we wouldnt charge anything if you wanted us to do it.
  16. Is that swapping the panel over or thecomplete frame, mech, headlining etc?
  17. Depends on how low you want to go aswell really. You can get 9s on a vr with spacers but Im not sure if with 8s you need to run a spacer to clear the caliper.
  18. ideally, You need to get the grille off and follow the route of the cable towards the 2 levers that open the strikers on the bonnet. Look for what looks like 2 metal trumpets that the cable runs to - it is these you need to move to release the bonnet catch. If you dont want to rick taking the grille off cuz you may need to forace it, you need to get the front of the car up in the air and get to the cable from underneath.
