Hmm, interesting. Waiting for the new starter motor to come in the post so will put it on, take it out and see if starts when hot. Any other suggestions? Is there any point me changing the ignition switch?

hmm I wouldnt have thought battery as its been left for a week at a time and will start up cold but if you go out in it and it gets hot, turn it off, it wont start.

Having a problem with my corrado at the moment. Fires up as normal when cold, although slightly sluggish. However, it wont turn over when hot. When it doesn't fire up it does start with a push start. Have replaced alternator and checked all the earths that I can find . Also have a starter motor on the way. The other thing I will get is an ignition switch. Although I can't see how the ignition switch would explain the slow crank over. Has anyone got any other ideas?

What do you soak it in? Mine has a bit of a stalling problem at the mo. Soak it overnight in IPA or petrol. Doing mine as we speak lol.

Did u try just soaking the vr's isv overnight? mine needs it done every so often.

Well Peanut has certainly outdone me on the list :lol: My first car - Pug 106 (mother bought it for me) Then the dubs.... Red 1.4 mk3 golf Dusky Mauve 2L Gti mk3 golf Then my lovely project rado which I have for over 3 years now - keeps me busy :lol: erm......thats it :lol: Not too bad for having been driving for over 8 years :lol:

Hi Mel, Welcome to the fourm. What engine is in your rado? Can you describe the problems you are having a bit more?

they do make a bit of difference to vrs but they make an even bigger difference to supercharged vr6s. Really please with the one on mine.

You measure it from the oil pressure switch at the front of the engine above the oil filter. Any pressure guage that reads up to 6 bar will do. Most tuning places should have them or demon tweeks etc.
