 G60Jet to the rescue - again !! Thanks mate ! Was this rad on any other VW ?? Passat G60 maybe ??
-
Having trouble trying to get a price for a new full width rad for my C. I'm after the one thats on the US Spec or G60Jet with Air-Con, its 675mm wide and the part number is 535121251C. Can i get genuine parts prices online ?? Can't seem to find any ? Havn't got time to go to the stealership for a while either. Anyone know ??
-
Don't understand how anyone couldn't like RS' on the C !!! I loved the original G60 rims (take it you don't like them ??) but thought they need to be bigger, G60 rims are based on the RS design so they are perfect !!
-
Thank god you put the RS' back on !! Looks amazing again ! I do like the RH but the RS' are perfect . Look forwaed to seeing what the other set will look like ....
-
Ah yes they had some at inters for £60 a set (both arms and blades) I've since heard that they can't get them cheap enough off VW and won't be selling them anymore......best you call them and let us know jon ??!!
-
Kevhaywires 8x17 RH's were et40 and they sat perfectly, not sure what tyres he had though.....remember him saying it handled very well and didn't rub the arches.
-
Saw one at heath road roundabout earlier ???
-
The first G40 VW made (GT G40) was in a '85 mk 2 and i'll bet that was pretty rapid too !!

I've got one of those video recorder things under my TV - so i can go to the cinema and then watch Top Gear when i get home.
-
Butterfly, The over all diameter off your wheels would be different which would mean your speedo would be out, otherwise you can put what you like on - i wouldn't go any bigger though
-
Deffo - mate of mine has one and i love it. Looks in great condition OSV !

Have a look in the members gallery for Rileys Corrado. He's got 195/45/16 on 8x16 Porsche D 90's
-
Also worth bearing in mind that the 205/40's will have less side wall so the ride will be harsher than 45's. The 40's will make your car sit lower and leave a bigger gap between the top of your tyre and arch aswell. Go for 205/45 if i were you

I'd feel really stupid getting out of my C at a petrol station with those doors, or anywhere for that matter !! There was a guy on VWvortex who made his own hinges a while back, great piece of engineering but i don't see the point either ??
-
Cheers guys - thanks for that link Bally, i've seen it before but handy to have it stored here !! Funny you should say that Kev i've been thinking that today at work !! Seems a shame in some ways to mod a perfectly good G60 to that extent. Can't make my mind up if i even want to do the chip and pulley etc. Maybe a toothed belt S/C drive, FMIC and oil cooler will do it. Any other suggestions ?? Water injection maybe ??

Just putting this pic (taken by youngdub) of mine at Inters last weekend, for my archive. Trying to make a decision on what to do engine wise now, seriously thinking and reading about the 16VG60 conversion, but its no easy job and it ain't cheap !! Any advise welcome !!
-
Had mine exactly a year - had 42k when i picked it up, now has 56k and running sweet....

Whats the most embarrasing moment you've had in your corrado

Not again ...... thought you had it sorted ?? -
Just popped out and saw an Ice Grey VR6, thought must be Kevhaywire but got closer and wasn't ! M plater who didn't notice me !!
-
Only one i've seen was in a later model 16v (Phils) '93 K plater ??

cusstardo, Were you aware that BBS RS split rims are available in 17" ? Very rare - only 500 sets were made in 5x100 fitment. Like these .... http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... 79733&rd=1 If you went for 16" BBS you would have to buy Porsche fitment (5x130) ones and use adapters as 16" were never made in 5x100 ....

Which do you think is better "Classic" Material?
carpoid replied to biggerbigneil's topic in General Car Chat
I think the G60 in standard form could become the rarer corrado considering that theres not many left already. The G-lader was a unique idea and will be looked back on and highly regarded in years to come. My 2p !! -
