With all that horsepower you'd better add AWD to your C...or else it'll only be good for going straight. :norty:

I would also look into getting new lifters and some heavy duty valve springs. You might as well replace those if the motors opened up.

Wouldn't the solid mounts cause too much stress on the subframe? Over time and abuse would the subframe eventually crack? It would be the equvalent of welding a solid mount to the subframe. The solid mount would not have any kind of give and will not take up any vibration from the motor. I've seen some G60 subframes crack due to the solid front mounts. It dosen't seem like you've taken any shortcuts to doing your car. Why not just get the VF mounts...instead of risking messing up your car?

Water was getting in from the fresh air vent on mine.

An aftermarket gator and knob will look much cleaner. The stock one still has that ring around it. :cyclops2:

I'm not bickering...I just didn't understand the logic in the last thread. I just wanted some clarification. How is the V9 more efficient than the V1? The V9 can make over 500hp...just not on our VR6's. As stated in an earlier post...a 2.5 inch pulley will make say 8psi on a V1...but not on a V9. The V1 pushes more CFM than the V9...that's where the power is coming from. You just can't take whats on Vortec's website and apply those number to our cars. Like I said before...the only real advantage the V9 over the V1, is the cheaper price. I myself have a V9, but If I knew what I know now...I would have went with a V1. 300 brake is easier than 300 wheel. :wink:

I've got 5mm H&R's on the back. Going to try 8mm. The rears are rolled flat and pulled out about 1 inch.

16x7.5 all the way around. 205 40 16 Falken ZE 512's. 35et, 11mm spacer in front to clear the caliper.

In replying to the other thread. The V1 produces more power than the V9. This has been proven over and over here in the states. The only advantage the V9 has over the V1, is that its cheaper. How is it more efficient? If you want quiet, the V2 is a quieter version. The V1 can make up to 280-300 Wheel Horsepower on a VR6...the V9 will NEVER make that power without standalone.

VF advises an intercooler above 10psi. The stage 2 is only a 8psi...besides there is no way in hell your going to be able to run the intercooler piping for a front mount. How are you going to lose power on a warm day with an intercooler? side note: C2 uses the larger V1 charger vs VF which uses the smaller V9.

The Mattig RS bumper uses the mk3 fog/turns. Looks like an Ingo Noak bumper, modded to fit the mk3 lights.

Run lighter wheels, underdrive pulleys also... Crank, alternator and power steering pulleys. They are lighter than the factory ones. There honetly isn't too much more you can do...the only real way to get around it is to add power. :lol:

There is a UK supplier...but I don't remember the name. If you check Abt's website, it'll tell you. It think the skirts are here are $250 for the pair.

I didn't trim anything. Used double sided tape and screwed the ends on.

You really don't need to do anything to make the Abt skirts fit. They are a tad bit longer than the corrado sides. I didn't modify my skirts in any way to make them fit. A better pic.
