  1. Yeah Ross, It's Specialist Cars who are doing the work-hope they behave themselves with the motor. Bavaria Autowerke were going to be £135 and Volks Centre quoted £145 so went for Speccy Cars in the end after gettting the car towed from St Machar Drive by C.A.R.S Recovery this morning..., Apparently the cables aren't available individually and are a dealer only part anyway, according to Eurocarparts, is there not some discount you can get from the dealers anyway if you have a Corrado - VW Parts Club or summat? Cheers all BigTartanG60
  2. Ok guys, I need help and fast! One of the two gear selector cables snapped today on the way to work in my G60 resulting in having no gears and I had to get towed home...,VW dealer has quoted £123.38 all in to supply and fit inc VAT. How does this sound? Is there any way I can get the part cheaper? Its actually the metal end of the cable (the bracket part) that has snapped through old age. Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated, Cheers BigTartanG60
  3. Hiall, What size are the tyres / profiles on standard G60 aloys? I know they are 15" but what size profile etc? Need to know ASAP! Thanks BigTartanG60
  4. Hey there, My mate owns a Peugeot 306 GTi-6 and it's pretty good. Ok the build quality isn't the best and doesn't feel that solid, but it can shift. 167 BHP as standard and 6-speed makes it rather quick as quite light. It is also one of the best handling cars in it's class as will be backed up by the motoring press. Not as good as the Corrado but not bad nonetheless, Cheers BigTartanG60
  5. Hi What's the power at the wheels then guys? Cheers BigTartanG60
  6. Nice one mate, Have fun! BigTartanG60
  7. AFAIK, from all the US Corrado owners I have spoken too they all hate their US-Spec headlights and most of them have changed them to euro-spec lights as apparently they are much brighter than theirs. The US guys will pay a premium for a set of UK or euro-spec lights, so reckon there are deals to be done if people are interested, Cheers BigTartanG60
  8. Check this out guys, a VR6 twin turbo doing flameouts on deserted roads, sounds amazin' http://www.zone-irc.net/VideosDuDams/co ... 'enfer.wmv Cheers BigTartanG60
  9. Hey all, Found some nice bits this morning on a certain auction site...., Found a set of Audi S2 pistons, Audi S2 injectors, 2 x Golf G60 intercoolers and Golf G60 180 deg u-bend, Scirocco 16V inlet manifold - all ideal for upgrades or a 16VG60 conversion. Also found a polished inlet manifold for a VR6, cheap...., cheers BigTartanG60
  10. Cheers for a ll the help guys, it was a leak from where the main fuel feed pipe joins onto the fuel rail, rubber persihed at end so cut off 0.5 inch, and replaced jubillee clip, tightened and all well, Nice BigTartanG60
  11. Hey all, Having had my car back for less than a week I was driving home today and noticed a smell of petrol inside the car. Now I have got used to this in town as it is probably the block breather coming off the rocker cover. But as I drove home the smell got stronger and stronger until I couldnt stand it any more. I stopped and popped the bonnet but couldn't see anything obvious. I drove home worrried and v.slowly and decided to take the Mk2 to work tonight. Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas as to what the problem / solution might be? I love driving my car but am not happy driving with such a strong smell of petrol especially as it appears to be coming from under the bonnet..,this could easily spell disaster if petrol vapour or even liquid is somewhere it shouldn't be. Cheers BigTartanG60
  12. AFAIK thats jeroen Diks 16VG60 and it used to be htwo different Mk1 Golfs he had but thought if was in his Corrado at the moment, the blue one with 18" BBS RC's, Weber Alpha management and 5th injector etc.? Also has twin inlets, motorsport shifter, carbon interior bits and traction control etc running just under 1850 cc, 300 BHP and low 13's ? Nice 8) BigTartanG60

  14. In time mate...., It was a company up in Scotland that did the chroming of the rocker cover, I actually have a spare rocker cover that I am about to send to them for chroming...., it may be for sale when I get it back, Cheers BigTartanG60

  16. Hi, Its an FK debadged grill and there are no fitment problems and semms to sit flush (1991 car) Cheers BigTartanG60
  17. AFAIK (maybe I'm wrong) the G60 was only available with a different gauge panel as an option. It is a different design and shape and came with two round holes which you could fit gauges into. The one pictured above was only available for VR6 models and came with the gauges built in already. I have seen both RHD and LHD versions of both gauge panels available but the G60 ones are definately obsolete now. They are still sometimes available on Ebay but usually sell for silly money. Gauges like those pictured on CrazyMarcels C are also sometimes available on Ebay (but have only ever seen LHD ones). I think either GSF or Eurocarparts still sold them last year (?) but not anymore, Cheers BigTartanG60
  18. Yeah guys, they are Borbet B 9 x 16" ET15 which were originally on one of the Westside boys Golf Rallye. Going to keep them for summer so coming off the car shortly. Just as well as they are rubbing a bit on the arches and scrubbing off the rubber from the tyres. Have to get the arches rolled / wheels machined and uprated bumpstops to stop this. Cheers SCOTCORRADOG60
  19. Hey for info, AUDI Model 80, 90, 100 P.C.D. = 4 x 108 Offset = 35...42 C/Bore = 57.0 Cheers SCOTTISHCORRADOG60
  20. Hey all, Yesterday after 3 months of waiting patiently I got my Corrado G60 back on the roadfrom the garage. I have to say it just blew my away on the drive home. It's like a different car to drive, so much power and the torque is amazing. I surprised a few cars on the drive back up North yesterday.....and I now know the meaning of torque steer),The sound the G60 produces is just music to my ears and all I can really say is that it was well worth the wait (and the cash). My thanks for advice and their work must go to Star Performance in Glenrothes, Fife, Darren from G-Werks and Bilal (and Sam) from SNS tuning. Just have to get those arches rolled now as there aint going to be much tread left soon as so low  Cheers SCOTTISHCORRADOG60
  21. Hey all, Just a pic I took this afternoon, sorry for poor light, more to come, Cheers BigTartanG60

  25. dalevr6 Cheesy on this forum has a set of 7 x 18" technomagnesio Detroit F1 Alloys on his motor so you could speak to him and see how he got them to fit and what suspension he has. These wheels are also fitted to the MK4 Golf fronted VR6 C which was featured in PVW a while back, Cheers SCOTCORRADOG60
