  1. Have seen this one before somewhere else,, AFAIK, it's RWD with fibreglass body and 2.0L 16v XE Vauxhall engine on throttle bodies, 250 BHP ish, Also, a girl I know, her brother races 2 x Hot-rod class Corrado's in race series up here, apparently he's in 2nd place in championship, will try and get some pics from her, Cheers, BigEastsideVWG60
  2. Hmmn, £195 inc VAT sounds a bit steep to me for a backbox.., Powerflow, Blueflame and Zaust custom exhaust builders will be able to do you a backbox in an identical style for lots less I reckon, Cheers, BigEastsideVWG60
  3. Well, in a way I guess, but not quite, they both had the same displacement (2226 cc), and both were longitudinal in-line 5-cylinder 20 V engines, but the engine codes were different and the S2 engine made more BHP and a bit more torque, whilst having the same CR (see below). Early S2 models had the same Motronic MH engine control as the last UR-Quattro's but later models had Motronic LH engine control. Audi S2 (Coupe / Avant) 1991-1994 Engine Type Longitudinal in-line 5-cylinder (I5) Turbocharged DOHC.4 valves per cylinder (20-valve) (engine code 3B [early coupe] or ABY [late]) Powertrain Layout front engine / awd Displacement, cc 2226 CR : 9.3:1 Horsepower@rpm 230@5900 Torque lb-ft@rpm 258@1950 (380NM on overboost) Audi UR Quattro (series 4-final model) October 1989-1991 Engine code : RR Engine Type (20-valve) 5-cylinder (I5) Turbocharged DOHC Powertrain Layout front engine / awd Displacement : 2226cc CR : 9.3:1 Horsepower(SAE) : 220 Bhp @ 5900 rpm Torque(SAE) : 228 ft-lb @ 1950 rpm Cheers, BigEastsideVWG60
  4. Have looked into this too and AFAIK it's the S2 pistons that fit straight in, Nice, BigEastsideVWG60
  5. Hey all, Here is a pic of me at work (well kinda..,) Cheers, BigeastsideVWG60
  6. Hmmmn, Chris Knott wouldn't quote me, Brentacre £652, Tesco £714, Greenlight £735.16, Elephant.co.uk (currently insure me) £572, Belldirect £512.31 :D Still waiting for Adrian Flux and HIC to get back to me, BigEastsideVWG60
  7. Skid, I know of a company that does this diamond cutting / polishing service mate, Give me a shout, BigEastsideVWG60
  8. Ok, Just got my renewal through for my insurance. I want to see if I can get it any cheaper than Elepahant.co.uk quote. So far I have decided to check: HIC Greenlight Chris Knott Adian Flux Tesco Bell Direct Brentacre nearly 26 yrs old 5 years NCB 1991 G60 with mods Can anyone suggest any other companies for me to try? Cheers, BigEastsidevWG60
  9. We couldn't possibly comment till we view the photo, u know u want to! 8) BigEastsideVWG60
  10. Yeah, Tried that 3 times, and emailed..., No response, Any other ideas? Cheers, BigEastsideVWG60
  11. Hey all, I am looking to get my G60 flywheel lightened and balanced. Have been trying to contact Ridgeway Racing to get a quote and turnaround time but no response. Are there any other companies in Uk that will do them and what are their contact details? Cheers, BigEastsideVWG60
  12. :D Morning Jo..., 8) Cheers, BigEastsideVWG60
  13. Hi Jim, My wheels are Borbet B's, 9 x 16" with ET15 offset and as Darren says they foul the standard arches, fronts not too bad but rears pretty bad, get arches rolled and job done, 8) Cheers, BigEastsideVWG60
  14. AFAIK, Late G60 models, 1992 (Late J and K plate) did have the facelifted interiors as I have seen a few including the K reg red G60 I broke about a year ago for spares, it had the facelifted interior, late fogs / bonnet etc. Also pretty sure like Roddy says the VDO gauges inthe centre console were a dealer-fit COST option on VR6 models only. You could also buy the gauge console holder (obsolete now) for the G60 separatly but had to fit own choice of gauges , Cheers BigEastsideVWG60
  15. Congratulations mate, hope you are all doing well, :D Best wishes, BigEastsideVWG60
  16. Hmmmn, I have a Green Cotton air filter on the underside of my throttle body and it is fine, doesn't get blown off etc, 8) Cheers BigEastsideVWG60
  17. This car is a steal at that price and is extremly rare, if I had the cash I'd buy it, Do it, u know you want to..., 8) BigEastsideVWG60
  18. Brian, Your a funny man..., Delete this photo please as there was no need..., Yes they were clean yesterday as I spent an hour cleaning them after the meet and repolishing them with Solvol Autosol, thanks for the concern, just have to get them re-lacquered now...., Stevemac Yeah well you'd think so but spoke to 4 or 5 people who were there at the time and none of them will tell me who  BigEastsideVWG60
  19. Well thanks for your opinion vr6storm...., there is a difference between leaving brake dust on wheels for a while (if we don't have time to clean them on a daily basis) and writing things on a polished metal surface using dust with abrasive properties i.e physically scratching the surface..., however it's nothing some elbow grease and Solvol Autosol couldn't sort out as I have found even if it was a bit of a hassle and I shouldn't have had to do it at all in the first place  I don't htink how the previous owner liked to keep his wheels or how you think I should keep my wheels should have any bearing on what happened at the meet  Blame you? Did I actually mention any names or blame any person in particular, no, all I said and I stand by is that no-one came forward even when asked to tell me who had written on the wheels / taken valve caps and that what happened happend at the Club GTi meet which it did. Maybe it was a "prank" gone wrong but even so it shouldn't have happened...,I hope that nothing like this ever happens again :x So lets just leave it at that, BigEastsideVWG60
  20. Right, What has the brake dust on my wheels got to do with the previous owner? They are my wheels now :x and that has nothing to do with the current situation..., So how did the wheels get writing on them did a ghost do it, maybe the same one as the valve cap ghost  ? Someone knows who did it and tbh if that's the sort of mentality that people who attend these meets have I think I am more than justified in feeling p***** off and not thinking a great deal of the people I considered as mates. As far as being "grasses" goes, it's nice to see that we look out for each other..., I'm sure if someone caused damage or similar to your car you would be hacked off too and would want to know who did it...., Thanks for the kind (mostly) comments guys, BigEastsideVWG60
  21. Well Roddy, I asked several of who I considered as "mates" there at the time on the day and they refused to tell me who it was, how am I supposed to sort it with the person if they won't own up or people won't tell me who it was. And as far as accusing people on the net of damaging my rims, that's what they did so I can and I have...., There were three valve caps left on the car when I drove to the meet as I checked it, so guessing unless they flew off on the drive to the meet they were taken at the meet..., I would be quite happy to "sort it" with the person who did it if I could find out who it was and believe me I will find out, Thanks, BigEastsideVWG60
  22. Hmmmn, I attended a Club GTi meet this afternoon and went for a drive in a mate's G60. When I returned I found that someone had written in the brake dust on my front wheels scratching the lacquer on my Borbet B's. Also someone, the same person or different who knows, had taken my remaining three Borbet valve caps. Pity that we can't even trust fellow VW drivers these days...., Just to let the person responsible know, if I find out who did it I will be having words  Cheers, BigEastsideVWG60
  23. Quote: I should have said 230 MAX without using a cotton reel sized pulley, stage 8 charger, X flow head, blahdey blah.... 246 is mighty impressive from an 1800.....would love to see how you got that much out of it and the dyno plots to go with it. K Well, check out my previous posts to see my dynoplots. Oh and BTW, I have an RS spec charger (one more than stage 4), standard PG 1.8 block, gas flowed and ported head (NOT CROSSFLOW), 65 mm pulley (which is still reasonably sensible), and no LSD (yet...,) :x So think I'm doing ok thanks, :D If crossflow head, 1.9 bottom end and forged pistons and other few mods could be looking at serious figures..., Cheers, BigEastsideVWG60
  24. Hmmmn, 230 MAX, I disagree, my G60 was rolling roaded at nearly 246 BHP and that was before the boost return mod was fitted. Also have still to get it remapped so should be good for more BHP (amongst a few other bits and pieces...,). Shrick manifold, remap and cams, hmmmn, well still reckon my G60 would be quicker than that but cannot testify to that guv'nor..., Nice, BigEastsideVWG60
  25. Hmmm, that's annoying, got everything right just didn't say the word "VW Motorsport"....., Oh welll..., Cheers, BigEastsideVWG60
