Redline put some brutal questions on its poll! But I suppose the Corrado is a marmite car for some and the mileage subject to joe public is generally "once it gets to 100k it blows up" so they were pretty brave to put a stake on a car like that. To me it looked like a great car though. I remember flicking through the previous owners flickr account to see the work done to it - it was an extensive refurb with engine work and a bare metal respray in places.

Good point on that car above - we can clearly see the dots on the springs so would be interesting to compare to a pre93 car. We are proper nerding out here but that's part of the fun...

BlueVR6 try eibach ( [email protected] ). They responded to me within twice with a day when i asked about spring rates. FIrst reply gave me some details and the second reply gave me some more info when I asked. Larkspeed contacted eibach and not bilstein. Eibach have been pretty good to me thus far and I'd buy again even though the corrado springs have been a hassle. RE the ride height i think stock rear springs are really soft so height is impacted by ground the car sits on. I remember driving mine on full bore acceleration on stock suspension- it used to squat and wiggle like something soft and rear wheel drive if you hit a bump whilst going for it. Shocks might have been knackered maybe.

Well at least yours is being used as intended and all the better for it. I'm scared to use mine at the moment but will hopefully get over myself soon.

I don't think I've seen your car before fen - nice! Yeah those stock springs are definitely lower than mine. Maybe only by 1cm but yours looks far less awkward than mine on stock springs.

Here it is STOCK - the rear always kicked up a little higher I do think pre 93 cars sat lower and if i could find those springs I would change for them if running stock speedlines. Don't think it would look right on 16s though.

My car sits the same as yours Keyo. I prefer it that way as the original setup was slightly nose down and arse up. When you're moving on the road the arse squats down a bit too. Here's mine BUT - no interior and not much fuel in the tank

Drive wise - they're great. Not as soft as stock but good damping and a relative comfortable ride able to handle a rutted B road without being harsh. I did some reserach earlier this year and found out the springs rates for H&R and had confirmation from EIbach that their springs rates were 10% softer than H&R. I'm on stock speedlines but soon to change to 16in speedlines so my opinion of harshness might change!

I've got the B12 kit (B8 & Eibach springs) and bought via Larkspeed. I had the issue with the rear springs and larkspeed handled the comms with Eibach. Both Eibach and Larkspeed were aware and I had new springs sent out from Eibach within a week. I didn't ever fit the incorrect ones but have seen on facebook where some have. Some cars look normal with them and others look like they are sitting down on their rear wheels. My car sits equally all round, perhaps a touch nose down but that matches stock setup. The eibach kit can be used on all corrados, so I'm guessing the original spec springs were for the early cars with their smaller fuel tank where as the revised springs cater for the later cars with a heavier fuel tank. Don't know really though and I'm just guessing.

Love it Keyo! Next year I hope to make progress on my 8v GTI, shame it won't rev out as much as the 16v but should be good enough for me. I liked the colour of it. Plan to put Newman 268 cams in mine

VX Tuning ones look better if you want to use them as fogs for sure. I think the plastic ones are an alternative to those plastic Hella covers

Yeah they are plastic. Fine by me though as never use my fogs and they're a fair bit cheaper.

Yeah that's what I am thinking too. Quite a saving! I have a cracked fog on the 16v (still toying with keeping it .... the wife likes that one better than the white one and it would get used as an everyday car).

How much would fog light lenses be? The links above are on sale $100 dollars plus $30 post and I am thinking about buying some.

ooh nice Mini Cooper S. My brother had a R53 and the R56 version, R53 being my fav. Sorry to hear the sale dropped through but hopefully someone else will be back to buy soon. Keyo is right as much as love them all I think I'd like to have a mk5 R32 (manual & 5 door) - something more modern I can use year round but isn't turbo'd or 4 cylinder. I'll shfit on the mk4 golf and a corrado but will keep the mk2 and a corrado. The current fleet require too much of my time to keep sweet - drawning in bodywork and little jobs all the time. I'll probably change my mind!

Ohh what have you replaced it with? Good you sold it though so you can move on. I feel like consolidating some of my cars next year. Scratch some itches before we're electrified in 2030 😄

Wow Chris. This thread delivers indeed. So much want - how do you sell your products - have you got an online shop?. It's great to have you as part of the community. Another outlet for you would be the Corrado Club facebook page as sadly there is more footfall. I hate to direct you there away from the forum as in my opinion this forum is better than facebook at being a forum but please stick around here too as there are some members that don't have facebook. There are certainly for few bits I'd be interested in - fogs, corrado kick trims and headlight glass. It's great you're helping keep the cars on the road as these obsolote parts could be make or break for a car that's had a light crash on the front.

No that was me! We've both had bad luck with our screens. In my case the fitter said he'd put a rubber block at the point it cracked so luckily for me he's fitting me a new one for free but I still have the same hassle as making sure my paint is repaired before the new one goes in (as i've had a full repaint too!)

There are few that come now and again but now these cars are 25+ years old it might be worth looking at any VR6 and go on condition. It's possible to get a better spec'd VR6 than a storm and your colour choices open up too.
