That's a good trick and I also found out recently that if you wedge the brake pedal down and take off say a brake calliper or flexi no fluid will leak out. Still needs bleeding but generally only the corner you're working on.

That is a great solution and I hope it comes here too. I've been looking for something like that as have an OEM unit it's possible to put an Aux feed into but bluetooth is more difficult. This unit could probably be adapted to work with any head unit that controls a CD changer if no aux available too.

You might be able to source from Europe as they had models in more basic specs - some didn't have central locking. Personally i can see the attraction of manual windows (and sunroofs) - less to go wrong.

Did you drive this car through potters bar/high barnet regularly? I used to see a green storm quite frequenly when i lived there (I moved out of that area 6 mths ago). For pictures I use https://imgbb.com/ . It's free and creates the "BB Code" links needed for forums automatically - you can just copy and paste. You can make almums secure etc. Might be easier for you to host images here and then you can advertise the car across multiple forums/places without have to load the pics multiple times 🙂

Thank you for that, i can see it sort of loops back on it's self and the black insert bit clips to the rod. I'm about to start working the area and am dropping the fuel tank so should be able to get a good view from behind (as the body shop failed to route the breather pipes through the chassis leg).

Actually I dont suppose you remember how the black plastic insert mounted up yo your actuator? Is it that thing I see behind my square hole - mines semi loosely fitted and will push in a touch with finger pressure. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

If I hit the jack pot it would be something just like this from Ruf https://www.rufautomobile.co.uk/ruf-btr-porsche-930-turbo For me I'm not an impractical supercar type fan (Lambo, Mclaren etc) and like everyday drive charm of a Porsche and Ruf version would be the icing on the cake as well. For more modest sums I think E30 325i M sport, any 911 pref air cooled, 944 turbo. Maybe something with an agricultural V8 but can't think what - don't like American - Jenson Interceptor maybe?

The other issue while I am here - sharing as useful to know for others who may need to do this fix - the mk2 panel fits slightly proud at the area highlighted. I think I could knock it in a bit (actually I will leave to a professsional to re-shape)

Hi, Background - my fuel filler panel area was rotten so I had a mk2 panel welded in its place. It worked mostly well except, since buying the black plastic insert I've found the hole is not large enough. I can make the hole bigger with a cutting tool but i am not 100% sure how the black plastic insert fits up against the lock actuator behind the fuel panel. Long shot but has anyone ever taken one of these apart before? I've mocked up on the pic where I think i need to cut... This would be a good time to have my other Corrado around but it's 300 miles away.

I was just going to suggest Vince myself. I wonder if it is worth contacting him to see if he can do something on your ECU if you sent it to him, perhaps by putting it in a similar spec car and tuning it on the side of caution as I guess where you are you'd have to travel a long way to get the car rolling road tuned assuming you can find someone who can do it on these older cars.
