  1. Did anyone notice a difference (other than sound) with the K&N air filter? Mike did the kent cams improve your torque figures at all?
  2. I recently put the 50m set of bananas on my 16V (from a mrk 2 gti) and noticed the loss of low end torque, engine was a bit more revvy - like a Vtec + also noticed the reduction in noise which alone is reason not to go down that route. K&N air filter might improve that noise factor a bit and as henny said flowing the throttle body helps. Some of the lads have said good things about bolting the 2.0L bottom end if its torque you’re looking for.
  3. what about the audi ones? will 100 one fit 200? V5 V6 audis?
  4. Im having similar problems with my 1990 16V although I don’t think my fuel pump fuse goes just my dash lights and on board computer. Would there be any other problem i.e spoiler fuse? What is the purpose of this fuse if the spoiler causes other fuses on the main board to go, surely that is the point in a fuse to limit the problem to just one circuit?

    Spoiler fuse

It could be that cus it did make some add noise as it was creeping up, although it just popped up once when I connected the switch and didn’t go back down so I don’t know if it was sticking or now Im a bit confused I dont know if its the fuse for the spoiler that is dodgy or the motor itself. Would a dodgy spoiler fuse cause the other fuses to blow? Is there a second fuse on the board that deals with the spoiler also? What would cause the spoiler to struggle as you put it? It winds up and down fine manually I took it all apart and nothing seems to be broken/stuck?? Can anyone help me post some pics? my web service provider is crap - pics never show on threads

    Spoiler fuse

Been having lots of trouble with my spoiler recently. I have an early 1990 16V and every time I connect the spoiler fuse to the spoiler switch it blows the warning light and MFA fuse on the main board. To try and solve this I got a new spoiler fuse off ebay ! Turns out the early and late spoiler fuses have a similar model no (535 919 845) except the early fuse has a D and the late one a B at the end of the number ! Would anyone know off hand what fuse (number) I need to buy to get my MFA and warning lights back working? Also would anyone have a working early spoiler fuse( model number 535 919 845 B) I would gladly swap it for the later one as its no use to me. The top one is the late model the bottom is the early one (one I need) Here is the model Nos
  7. anyone fit the porsche one? i.e W15550 902 any difference in the two?
  8. yeah i thought that, is fitting the ABS tricky?
  9. Is it a big job putting ABS on the pre 92 models? Do all G60s have ABS?
  10. cheers lads the search begins !
  11. Insurance is up soon, anyone knowt a place that does cheap insurance on the corrados? 26yrs old got a 1.8 16V looking for 3pt F+T on 1990 corrado
  12. Got a 16V 1.8 recently using it as a second car (for track days). Im living in dublin myself. here is a pic of my tornadio C in action in mondello ! U can check out our website + bigger pics at http://irishperformancecars.com/gallery/albums.php
  13. Yeah U can get pads also similar to the Pagit greys, just wondering if they are any better/more durable than other pads. There is a set of PBR ceramic pads going on ECS cheap I was thinking of making the purchase. The ceramic disks are a different story the Porsche GT3 comes with the option of them £15K price tag !
  14. Do they make much difference? Do they last longer than fast road pads?
  15. 7.2 for VR6? 7.2 for the Campaign V6? 7.2 V6 storm? Is this right? 8.7 seconds for the 1.8 16V? 8.9 for the G60? Is that right? 10.2 for the 16V 2.0?? 10.7 for the 8V 2.0? Comments please! The 16V doesn’t have Electric windows as standard, I know that for sure.
  16. I know most of you have tuned your Corrado’s in some way or another but what’s the official VW 0-60 on all C models ? Is there an official website I can find out this information?

    Brakes

Thanks for that lads, I may have sourced a set of G60 brakes, Ill throw a pair of PAGID pads in and see how it goes. Bleed 200mill you say at this stage there is prob 20 mill left :) How much does a bottle of that DOT 5.1 run at? Was looking there at GSF and there is a set of Zimmerman cross drilled disks and Kevlar-mix pads going for #99 inc VAT which isn’t bad. b

    Brakes

Hey guys great forum, got word of it through UKmrkIVs I just got my first corrado recently (1990 1.8 16V) going to use her for track days for the moment until I have the bread to do a proper job rebuilding. I wanted to ask about brakes, I am thinking about upgrading to G60s on the front or Brembos if I can get a set cheap somewhere, I have 16s on her so they should fit. I’ve brought it around the track a few times already on the standard brakes with road pads and they soft V quickly + breaking distance was poor. I would be looking big down the line but what would be the best set-up for the intern? (Taking cost into mind) Im thinking 308 disks would the biggest I could go with the 16s. Would cross-drilled 280s would do the job.
