Riley If you ever what a second opinion on things mate Im only in wigan if you want me to have a look! I have done my own boost returm mod, so you can have a look at that and have a drive to compare it to yours. Im only a few months in front of you on the G60 learning curve, but I have had good chats with the likes of H100VW and Henny!

Personnaly I like to wash then drive to maccy d's and park it right near the entrance, then sit in the window eatting a mac watching peepa admire! Like a proud dad!

I have polished up a good few bit in my time, inlets and other engine bits, the alloys on my golf are bare polished alloy. My advice, just work down with different grits till you get a nice even surface, I ususlly finish with 1000 grit paper before I get out the polishing wheels and then autosol. I find with the wheels on the golf, bearing in mind that they are open to the elements 24/7, that I only need to autosol then around once a month, and over the winter months I just give then a spray with greese to protect them. So to answer you question yes it does last, and I dont think you need to give it that much attention!

Good to see surface finishes quoted there Rack, but 400 microns isnt that polished if Im right. If you laquer allot it will aways peal after time.

Just spray a bit of carb cleaner over it, and listen to see if you engine note changes!

Your only worry then is the weight!

Its illegal to tow with a dolly un less it is for recovery only. I fitted a tow bar to my golf, and you didnt have to cut the bumper, you cannot see it when the removal ball is removed( its more of a swan neck) and it cost about 150 quid, the best thing about it, its VW from the dealers!

Me and my mate where out having a laff in my nail (nail :- a car you dont give a dam about) we thought it would be funny to ar5e a gritter. We got some strange looks, cudnt think why :lol:

Just thinkin its cheap and easy and could couse them sort of problems. Failing that I would get it on vag com as soon as, but dont do any more ECU resets until you do or I think you will clear your problems.

Wen did you last change your fuel filter?

I used sikaflex (spelling)
