I read posts on here concerned about the timing chains - is it wise to replace as a precaution, i.e does something suddenly break that causes damage or is it just a case of if there is noise from the right hand side of the engine? Mine has done 117,000 miles and has never had them done but drives like a dream with no odd noises (touch wood!!). Please advise!!

I'd be interested in some smoked or red tinted ones if there's a group deal going. Have you got pics of the red and the smoked so i can choose?

Well I hope you sort it easily but I have a fuel pump off a 93L reg VR6 if you want it - £55 inc postage - bought it but found that my problem was that existing one was loose in the tank and actually nothin wrong - it was the sender I thought i needed anyway. PM me if interested.

Hi, I'm thinking of buying a new set of wheels - question is 16 or 17", what style do you lot think look great on a Corrado and what tyre size is best? I'm also after suspension upgrade and would like to know where I can get the red tinted rear light clusters?

I know i'm a bit slow off the mark with this but I'm sure you'll find it's the leads - i had the exact same problem on a VR6 which was only 4 yrs old at the time - harsh misfiring when pulling away in say 2nd gear off a roundabout - i.e at low revs and under load, other than that it was fine - new leads sorted it totally but I bought original ones at the time.

I don't know mate...are Meta still in business then? Did they take them over? If you know anyone that will know how it works I'd be grateful. However, having read posts on here I think I might just get the Toad one fitted and be done with it!

Hi all, just bought VR6 with the original aftermarket Gemini alarm. It works but no longer activates the central locking and also has a very annoying self-arming feature which I would like to turn off!! My local specialist said Gemini went bust and have no dat for the alarm. Has anyone any knowledge of this system and how to repair it or am I faced with buying a new one?

Hi all, just bought a beautiful Aqua Blue VR6 with leather...now want to sort out a few problems. 1). Fuel guage reads either completely full or completely empty and goes up or down depending on motion of the car (accelerate = up, decelerate = down I think) any ideas? 2). Drivers heated seat inop but can hear click in rear right hand panel when turning the switch on and off. 3). When turning steering there is a creaking noise from front o/s wheel. Hard to say exactly where from but worse when warm and does it if stationary or moving - poss dry joint sound?? 4). Needs a full service inc. plugs I guess (last had plugs 36,000 miles ago)...any advice on type of plugs/oil etc? A VW specialist locally has quoted £230 plus VAT for everything inc. brake fluid change. 5). Thinking of lowering and changing suspension as it's quite crashy over bumps...any suggestions? Thanks guys (or girls!) for any help... Also any other Corrado owners around Oxford get in touch!
