Hi Guys, So I sold my R129 SL500 because of the new low emissions zone coming into Birmingham and decided to keep My Rado as my weekend classic as it's more fun to drive. As a daily I put my funds from the R129 to a MK7 GTI performance pack with 230 BHP. The R was in the same price range but as I've always had GTI'S in the past and I'm loyal to that specification and also prefer the looks, might be on my own there as I'm sure most would go for the R but for me it's a bit over kill and I find the R branding less cool as the GTI. So question has anyone had a remap or know what is the safe BHP you can go up to without putting additional strain/damage on the cars components. Cheers.

Exactly this that's why I went for a VDO pump and sender, not cheap but should last a hell of long time.

I know what you mean mate got Stealth to fit them on my VR6 , all I know is he had to rip the old ones out of the rear subframe, and they were a pain in the ass to get out and he had to use some serious pliers, they actually slot into the subframes, I think he had no issues putting the new ones in though. Part hunt has been fazed out at present. They fir at each end I believe you just need to find the housing for them . I had this the other day after the heavy rain and assumed I had left the sunroof slighty left open, gave it a good water test afterwards and could not find any further water ingress.

Exactly bargain compared to a golf and is a 2.0 , you never know you could walk away with that car for maybe 2K if the seller was desperate to sell.

That could be the catch of the car, you get there and there is a bmw panoramic roof glued on the top with half the roof been cut out:bonk:

Very rare but I don't like the interior bit to ornate for my liking, call me boring but Ill stick to black leather.

Would like a new set of them front indicator lights, on my old R129 you could just go down Euro Car parts and they had a branded set for £40 notes not so with the Rado. He's been watching the Pharaohs and going to the afterlife with plenty of parts.

Yeah that's it class colour. My dream car would be a 993 C2S in that colour.

The problem with the mystic blue is when it ages a bit it almost goes like a pink/ purple off colour. I like the the real dark blue like a midnight blue they had on the 964.

In my eyes Solitude are damn ugly. Sorry Folks just my opinion.

Storms are not for me personally, they are not the colours I go for in a car, I prefer the other shades of blue available, and liked Oak Green on the Mk2 golf.

Does look a clean car welcome to the Corrado world ! I would pull the ladies bum down at the rear a little to improve the stance.

Storm should of had a Variable inlet manifold or a chip in the ECU to make it that little bit special, it's just a stunt by VW to shift the last batch out the factory and they have just done it with the MK 7.5 Golf TCR, but at least it has more poke .

That is true as I owned one in the early 90s and still have a bad itch for one but just sold my R129 and keeping to one classic now in the household if I can help it !!!.

Not sure but I have read in the past that the plugs look the same for the fog light and ambient sensor and people have plugged into the wrong way , is your fog working OK , that would illuminate it quickly off the list.

Lets be honest if a Renault GT 5 turbo are selling for £20 k and 205 GTI, also silly prices for Fords why on earth is the Rado cheaper then a 16V Mk2 golf ??
