  1. I was 17 when I had my 2.0 16v Rado, but im 28 now and own a VR. Im sure there is a thread on here somewhere about Corrado owners and thier ages?? ---------- Post added at 7:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 7:20 PM ---------- Edit: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?75685-How-old-are-you-and-how-long-have-you-had-your-Corrado-Corrado-s
  2. I found a few quid in my Green Corrado under the carpet along with a tampon, I again found a few quid just laying on top of the VR6 carpet when I got that! I found a 10mm Snap-on spanner under the rear seat of my White Corrado aswell.Corrados are great for finding things, haha. But best of all I found a set of keys for an Aston Martin under the rear seat of a Merc, that was a suprise!
  3. I had a similar thing happen to me when I had my white corrado mate. I was going round a roundabout and a car pulled out into the side of me, I pulled over and he drove off!! I tried to chase him but traffic was so busy that I lost him!! I parked up the following day by where it happened, and looked out for a red car with damage (I knew the other car was red due to paint left on my car)! And belive it or not they drove passed me at almost exactly the same time as the day before! So I followed them until they arrived at thier house and confronted them. They admitted it was them and said they couldnt stop because they had nowhere to pull over?? I took the guys details and went straight to the police station. He went to court and got 3 points and a £200 fine, and my car cost £2000 to repair which his insurance wouldnt pay for! There are some real ****ers out there mate, but dont give up hope, go back there tomorrow and look for them.
  4. Is power getting to the fuel pump? Can you hear the pump prime when you turn the ignition on? I would remove the immobiliser if possible and eliminate possible causes from there. Is it an aftermarket immobiliser? I would also try swapping fuse 18 (20 amp-fuel pump) and double check the other fuses also, then try swapping the fuel pump relay(No.167) and ECU relay(No.30, or possibly No.32 if its the newer type). I know you have changed the fuseboard but were the relays the old ones? I would put the old ECU back on and use the original transponder as the ECU would appear to not be at fault.
  5. Are you sure its an electrical problem and not perhaps fuel related, Is fuel getting to the rail/injectors when it cranks over? Is there any type of alarm installed that may be faulty? Rob.
  6. I'll buy your M3 ones off you for the same price as diarmaid16 if offering you for the standard lights if you like? Then your not out of pocket, if that works?
  7. No worries Dirk. Just let me know when you finish the product, and let me know how to pay you. Cheers. Rob.
  8. So is it possible to do the RHD version, or is it the same as the LHD once installed?
  9. Im in if the group buy goes ahead. Late (RHD) for me if possible.
  10. Hi, does anyone have any headlight glass for sale? Looking for both sides, drivers and passenger. Many thanks. Rob.
  11. What about the ISV idle stabilisation valve? Have you tried removing that and cleaning it with carb cleaner?
  12. Right, I recieved a text yesterday evening from Matthew with a tracking number and a message of apology. He informed me also that a friend of his had been critically ill in hospital, and that this had also delayed him in sending the headlights....... Anyway, even though I dont believe any of that bull****, I got home today and recieved a package containing the headlights. Unfortunatly the passenger side one has a massive stone chip in it and has glass rolling around inside, and the passenger side one has a 2 inch wood screw in the back of it to secure the reflector in place! But instead of me wasting anymore of my life thinking about this, Im just going to have to move on and learn from my mistake. So if anyone has a pair of standard healights for sale, or a drivers side inpro headlight glass, then please let me know. Thanks for all of you messages offering help. Im just tired of thinking about this now. Cheers again. Rob.
  13. Have you tried unplugging the MAF or lambda/oxygen sensor and seeing how it idles? Its possible that with the MAF disconnected the engine may cut out. The ecu will try to compensate for the sensor thats disconnected, and you might find that with the lambda disconnected it will idle fine. This would indicate that its possibly a sensor thats at fault. Have you changed the coolant temperature sensor by any chance aswell? Although im not sure if that would explain your problem. I would say its either down to a faulty sensor, split hose or ignition/HT leads. But im no expert, and that doesnt really narrow your search either, haha. :)
  14. No worries mate. Yeah I agree the colour is not to everyones taste. Cheers mate. Rob.
  15. What about a 2.0 16v, ive got one in Pearl green that im just about to put up for sale? 89,000 miles, complete service history, etc. Where abouts are you located? Rob.
  16. Yeah I suspected that he is starting to realise that he has nowhere to run. I made him aware that Im not worried about his mates, haha, he can bring a whole bus of them if he wants! Ive got enough information on this boy now that I pretty much know where he will be any weekday between the hours of 8am to 10pm! So if I dont get a tracking number off him today then Ive let him know I will be round to see him. I will update again later today hopefully.
  17. Update: I managed to get this boys mobile number this evening and so sent him a text, well two infact, and I finally recieved a reply. The headlights still havent been posted, so im affraid he has lied to you bristolbaron! But this is the text I got, im still laughing at how childish it is, haha: Hi Rob.I am sorry for the delay, I have more going on in my life than to go on a forum to say I have not posted your lights. They will be posted tomorrow. But if you fancy coming to my house one night to save me the postage then feel free. I sure do hope you will not get violent though, as the man living with me is an army paratrooper and was a prison officer in the roughest prisons in the UK. But I will post them tomorrow to save you of that. Pleasure talking to you Rob!
  18. This number appears to be the right one: 07891898750. No reply yet, I will let you know if I hear back from him! Anyway whats plans for the corrado, what work does it need? Got any big plans? Rob. :)
  19. Man im shocked he gave his number. Im just putting the kids to bed so will try and call/text him shortly. Hopefully get something sorted?? I just hope thats not the mobile number he gave me before, as that number said no longer in use! Thanks for that buddy.
  20. Mate I dont want you to feel like a twat, like I said before I know its not your fault that this situation happened, but unfortunatly you owning this car now make it both our problems in a way. Still more of a problem for me than you though! And if you can help in any way to contact him and see what he has to say then that would be a bonus. Its nothing personal, and im sure you are a tidy bloke. I'll look forward to seeing what plans you have for the car, make sure you start a build thread when you get the chance. Cheers. Rob.
  21. Hi mate, yeah im still planning on catching up with him sometime if nothing gets resolved! Ive got an invoice that I sent him on the 13th of this month regarding payment, and also got the postage reciept with tracking number and details of package contents. Ive also kept a record of all the messages ive sent him through the forum, facebook and by phone. The lights were sent to him on 7/9/12 to his work address, and ive sent a copy of the invoice to his home and work address also. If you are friends with him on Facebook then would you mind contacting him and seeing what he has to say maybe? He was meant to swap me a pair of inpro headlights for my standard lights, and when he recieved mine he was going to fit them and send his lights straight back to me, but nothing turned up, so thats why ive tryed to chase him up, and send the invoice for payment.
  22. Hi mate. Yes I realise its not your fault about the situation regarding the lights, and im not holding anything against you personally for that atall. But what I will say is that if I new I had some stolen parts on my car and found out that they belonged to someone else then I'd want to return them asap. I know it would obviously make you out of pocket by replacing them, but they belong to me and im out of pocket also! So one way or another I need some lights back on my car and these light belong to me. What would you do in my situation, if the shoe was on the other foot? Sorry to sound harsh, but do you know what im trying to get at? Hope you understand what im trying to say. Rob.
  23. Hi Aidan, welcome to the forum. I hate to tell you but your new car has my headlights on it! Im currently trying to contact Matthew Abela to pay me for them. I know its not your fault, but I just wanted to make you aware that they are still my property. For some reason Matthew wont reply to any of my messages and is ignoring all my attempts to contact him. Do you have a mobile number you could call him on and remind him that they are my lights? If I dont get any money off him then im affraid im going to need the headlights back as I need them to go on my 2.0 16v im currently trying to sell, but cant sell until the lights are back on it! Please dont let this issue put you off using the forum though. There are a few members from Sunderland on here who can help you with any questions you have, and they have a great knowledge that will definetly come of use to you at some point. I might send you a PM shortly for a chat mate. Rob.
