Yeah I go with momo race too, nice and subtle.
-
Sounds like a beaut! I would snap it up if you can get it for £5.5k. Good luck with insurance...
-
Sounds very nice! Has it got FVWSH/all MOTS etc so that mileage can be varified? £5,500 sounds like a very good price for a late VR in such good condition and with those miles, price could be closer to £6k me recs. You buying or selling?

Yellow J reg G60 with OE BBS wheels seen on Kilburn High Road outside black lion pub lastnight. Very, very nice. First yellow C I've seen and I was surprised how nice it was in this colour.
-
Another silver C, very 8)

Snowing in London now, quite heavy too, potential settling... Gutted about RC's was hoping for a set one day :( . What are they going to replace it with?
-
Damn, doesn't look likely anytime soon then... :(

Need to top up oil, don't know what's in it... can I mix?
Ford replied to Funkster's topic in Engine Bay
Exactly what I have done Henny, many thanks :salute: -
Why doesn't a manufacturer such as FK etc make all red lights, surely there will be a decent amount of demand for them judging by the amount of cars with home sprayed jobs on the forum. I really want all reds, but I am not willing to break the law to have them on my car. Has anybody on this forum asked these aftermarket light manuf.? Sorry to deviate slightly from the thread...

Henny, thanks for that, this thread had me worried for a sec. Thought I had missed something. -

Does it have to be the same viscocity? Say if there was a oil viscocity of 15 (15/40 oil) in the engine and you added an oil with a viscocity of 10 (quantum stuff 10/40), would it really matter? Wouldn't it just end up being an average of the two depending on the amount added etc? So viscocity could end up being 14 or something? Would that really have an effect on engine wear etc? -
Looks like it is smiling, it knows it's good!

Yep I was there too, satin silver VR k reg, was in Southampton for the weekend, friends birthday, there and back on M3. Didn't see any other Cs while there though. 6 rados is good spotting, I hadn't seen any for ages until this morning: Blue corrado (H reg): lowered 16v with Speedline alloys (six spoke split rims) very nice seen on Albany street NW1.

Anybody know about the koni taps for top adj susp and where you can get those and how much they are? Thanks
-
Many thanks Henny, it was the first time I had to top it up and it was quite far below the min line on the expansion tank. I will watch it closely and see if the level drops again. I hope as you say its just a knackered rubber hose joint! I may have it checked over as there are a few little jobs I want to get done anyway.
-
on average how often do people top up their coolant levels then? I recently had to top mine up and this thread has got me worried!
-
Also having not seen a Corrado catalyst as mine came without. I am, however, very suspicious about this one, see photo, is it meant to have 2 sections welded in the middle?
-
Hi I would be very interested in knowing about this too. Anybody ever fitted a golf VR6 cat to a corrado VR before? In a drunken and desparate moment I bid on a cat that comes from a golf vr6 and I am currently the highest bidder and running out of time and cant retract my bid. So could be a waste of money. That's the last time I will switch on my PC after a few beers!
-
Cheers Kev, will see how I get on on ebay, and then check on here to see if anybody has a secondhand one kicking around in their garage, if I fail I may give them a call and see how I get on.

There's loads of research on exhausts here. Matter of opinion and how much money you are willing to spend. Milltek and Magnex in the same price bracket (kind of mid range exhaust). Best to go for, according to Haywire and others, is Supersprint or Original (both more expensive, with the Original its labour intensive because you have to drop the back axle). I was looking a couple of months ago, went for magnex in the end and cant complain. Suitably sporty and subtle, much better than powerflow that was on there previously.
-
I guess steel monolith cat would be better at £50 more?
-
Anybody heard of these guys? I need a cat for a VR6 and £100 seems suspiciously cheap.... http://www.autobits.co.uk/store/view_pr ... oduct=4949 and full stock list: http://www.autobits.co.uk/store/store.php?cat_id=993

Brilliant thanks Kev, better start saving then, got the koni's (on speedies) just got to get me some H&Rs. I might try and increase the damping in the meantime just to improve the ride a little.
-
Also what is the ride like on H&R springs say in comparison to o/e set up. I am trying to compare to the eibachs I currently have which are a little harsh for my area, if I lived on a Grand prix track it would be fine!
