Okay, thanks for that Nelson_Wilbury, so it isn't a trend then, the guy that told me that was wrong (Euro Car PRATS-Wembley), can breath a sigh of relief. Perhaps it is just Euro Car Parts that won't be supplying them anymore (seems unlikey too, so he obviously just fed me some story), but at least they will still be available at VW. Sorry about that.... if you were dusting off headlights to sell on ebay, I appologise.

Hi, I have just purchased two new headlights for the c to freshen things up. Got them from Euro Car parts as they are genuine, but still cheaper than VW. Just thought I would let you know that these parts are going to be increasingly difficult to obtain as according to Euro Car Parts, VW/Hella have just stopped making them. You can no longer get them at Euro Car Parts, I got the last lot, so I guess supplies at VW may dwindle too. Just thought I would pass that on, just incase somebody is considering new headlights. Cheers

Ultra Rare Nugget Yellow Storm, Now there is 501!
Ford replied to rado-steve's topic in Members Gallery
 , mad man, you didn't just stick that rear badge to your car did you? I sold those on ebay for a friend about a month or so ago and got £132 for him. They weren' t in as good condition as yours and the fact that the rear badge had the sticky backing could have added more to the price. Plus I am guessing you didn't pay that much for them. Enjoy the only yellow storm in the country. Cheers -

Yep got the keyring and very nice finish. Longer than I expected though, so I hope I don't fall over drunk with my keys in my pocket and do myself an injury  ... although alchohol and my car keys will not be in the same place at the same time so should be okay 8) . -
mike_rvf19, congratulations that is such a 8) C, an excellent example! Enjoy!
-
delcfc, I hope you got in there and bought that mint G60 that was advertised and sold today. In the family from new with 69k on the clock and in black with the original bbs'. I would have snapped it up if I was looking!!! Well within budget too at £3.5k. If not then how are you getting on? Have you decided: VR or G60 yet?

I don't know where this should go, but I thought that Pau1's oak green C should go in here. One of my favorite C's - looks very classy in that colour and I like the side vents make the car look awesome. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15319

Damn, thought your car was very 8) with the recaros and washers, all the best corrado's seem to be taking a battering at the minute, Henny's and now yours. Sorry to hear the news :( . It does however seem like a very good time of year to buy a C if you are thinking about replacing it, there are some bargains to be had at Christmas time as they don't seem to be shifting right now, some very nice ones about too.

Yep, I have gone down this road, H100VW loom + Osram silver stars as recommended by the guys above and the difference is amazing, proper white light and MUCH improved visability!! Also got me some new headlamps to fit this weekend which set me back several gold teeth, but should make the front end very clean and fresh!

Hi Kev, this was his reply: It was an R reg 97, with upgraded discs and pads, so they will definitely fit as the discs were much bigger ! good luck ! Does that help, can we deduce anything from that. Did a 97 have narrower callipers? Many thanks
-
Hhhmmm, SIlver C, very nice, just what I wanted, also the same as OSV's before he did all the mods. Silver with leather is very rare! Sounds like a really good deal. Re suspension: go for Koni sports suspension shocks (as per your link) but get H&R springs, Koni springs are not great, should all cost you about £470 - as per Kevhaywires recent post. I currently have Koni/Eibach combo on my silver C, but is a little be bit of a hard ride, as I don't use the car on a track, now saving for H&Rs.

Hmmmmmm very nice and original, G60's on original BBS' look great. Noticed you've stripped the plastics from the sides and got some Lupo wipers, are those new headlights as well, looks really fresh. How much was the respray in the end? You just need a BBS centre cap for one of the wheels and it'll be complete. Any other plans?

Thanks for that will ask, cant really check them out though as they are at the other end of the country! Cockermouth couldn't be further from London, so would just be collection. Will find out how old the golf is though and whether they have 288's. Cheers
-
Right, I know this has come up before and many have said that they dont fit on the VR because of brake callipers etc. But these are from a VR6 golf, VW fitment, 16" X 7.5" and as far as I can see they are not the dished type that we usually see. Any comments as to whether they would fit? Are the Golf's calipers similar in proportion, is there anything different about the C's brakes that would scupper the fitting of these wheels? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... eName=WDVW I love these wheels, they are designed to go with the C! There must be a way!!!
-
Ouch! I've got to replace mine too... damn, didn't realise they cost that much! Struth, was considering cheap replacements, but heated is the way to go in this weather. Mine aren't heated at the minute, I guess they were replaced at some point. Did all VR's get heated mirrors?

200 bhp on stealth rollers! VID INC 350+BHP RADO pg5
Ford replied to matt_corradovr6's topic in Members Gallery
Looking good. Apart from lowering, any other mods? I have been looking around at alloys, as my speedos need refurbing, and I am finding it difficult to beat the original wheels, so thinking I may just get them refurbed, they look great in your photo's, so that may have just confirmed my plans! -
VR6 insurance is group 18, out of interest what is G60's? The same? Pro for G60, cheaper to tune, and looks so good in its original state on BBS', plus inca blue was an awesome colour! Pro for VR6: naturally aspirated and if timing chains have been done and engine in a good state, then should go for many many miles. Also the sound of 6 cylinders.... hhhhhmmmmmmmm that sold me!!! No cons, I love them both, both great cars in their own right!!! 8)
-
Very true. Mine used to be serviced at VW, now I have it done on the road I live on! It's just a local garage, but the mechanic owns a corrado too and loves my car, so it gets the attention it deserves! I doubt I would get that kind of service at my local VW garage.

LOL, I called too, and he knew exactly what I wanted... bit of a shocker for them, they have probably had them kicking around in a cupboard for ages collecting dust, now they are suddenly flying off the shelves. -

I was always interested in getting one of these, but you have to place an order for 15 keyrings! They won't except order for 1- from germany corrado site. -
Corrado Forum Car of the Year - Nominations
Ford replied to Shilakadaddy's topic in General Car Chat
This should possibly be linked to next years planned forum calender, surely here are the contenders for that. -
Oh yes, me too, I loved the one in italia colours, had a remote control one of those when I was a kid!
-
Was very seriously considering one a while back, but couldn't get over left hand drive, if only they did a rhd! Well if you are getting one apparently these are the guys to get one from: http://www.whalley-integrale.uk.com/ Also has loads of info on the car, and ltd editions etc... Wouldnt mind the red one above with the stripe down the bonnet, final edition, or a club italia, apparently only 15 made... lord blue with push button start and red leather recaro's.... hmmmmmmmmmmm 8) Always fancied a silver lancia monte carlo for weekends too...
-
Very nice and original, my dream car! If I were you I wouldn't change a thing on it, keep it completely original, if the exhaust drops off replace with original etc. Very 8) . Enjoy!

Okay so general consensus is that they are too much trouble for what they are worth. Shame as I like the idea of teledials. Thanks for all your comments, much appreciated.
