Both, as Dinkus mentioned. Hopefully I will have mine on my car by next week, no more squeeky rear wipe! I hope...

I looked into this too, but didn't think it was feasible in the end. If you have a few dents, where the paint hasn't chipped then I think it is worth doing paintless dent repair, reasonably cheap. But getting the chips sorted out by these companies doesn't last that long apparently - I've been told about 2 years. I looked into the cost and decided it wasn't worth it. So I am going to wait and take it to a proper bodyshop. In the meantime I have carefully touched up any chips to prevent rust. If you are interested in it then honest john has some useful contacts: http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/faq.htm?id=23

Keep that front bumper!!! Very nice, wheels really suit that pearl green C. Looks squat and purposeful 8)

I am keen, would be nice to try and please everybody somehow. Maybe each month could be themed. Like 1st month the evolution and development of the C, maybe another month the Ltd editions (jet, storm, campaign) other months a mixture of originals and mods of each type of C, another month a collage of C's in all factory colours, pics of C's various optional extra's etc etc - kind of an informative calender that I can use to educate those that don't even know to pronounce Corrado! Also plenty of quoted press praisings etc. Also I am perfectly happy with some arty pics of Cs. Actually anything with the corrado in it will do. Will you do a desk top calender version?

My previous ownership was a 71' bug, so I am still amazed by these technological developments - I am still reaching for the knob on the dash when it rains... :)
-
Didn't know that either... another useful bit of info from the forum.
-
... but it is brand new and should bring a few years of carefree driving, must be quite nice not always worrying about a part that you need to replace as with the old C.
-
Looks really cool, but I am just too scared to paint mine knowing how much I just forked out for a new set!
-
I remember there being a thread on this a few months back, might be worth doing a search on here. Cheers

Nice, but bin the eibach springs and get H&Rs to go with your T/a's. I have the above with eibachs and the ride is pretty harsh, plus still sits too low at the back.
-
Sounds exactly like the lambda sensor... my friends C got the same MPG as yours, when his lambda went. Good luck sorting it out.

Holly s.......... thanks for breaking the news Dinkus. those springs!!! Can't believe they are so expensive. I guess I am looking at about the same amount for the front (or poss. more). A lot more than I thought. Thanks for the pic too, looks 4x4, but bet it is comfy, lots of travel there. Think I have to consider secondhand, I couldn't part with that much money on those springs - cost more than H&Rs! Other option is to stick with the extra £100 a year on my insurance and upgrade my current springs to H&R springs. Anybody know the difference in ride between H&Rs and OE - I am trying to get a softer ride - these speedbumps are driving me mad.
-
Thanks Kev, really usefull info there, just what I needed. Phat, I currently have less than 1yrs no claims- due to a long period living in London not needing a car and then having a company car - so this insurance company got me the best deal, its just they are really anal about any mods what so ever, they even charge for a non std exhaust. I will keep my current susp in the attic and will stick it back on in better days along with H&R springs. However at this point in time the original susp makes sense, the speedbumps here are a nightmare! Dinkus/Dr Mat/OE's do you know how much the original set up costs? Thanks
-
Just wondering, can somebody let me know what the original suspension (shocks and springs) is that came with the Corrado VR6. My C came with Koni t/a's when I bought it, but my insurance company charges me an extra £100 to have them on, plus where I live there are too many rediculous speed bumps! So I want a more relaxed ride from my C for now with the original set up, I know it look 4x4 but I think the benefits outweigh the looks... Also can you let me know how much the springs and shocks cost? Many thanks
-
Yep mine too, cost £1,500 for chains, head and clutch.... Recon that's good for another 100K after having that done?
-
I'm loving those driving shoes too
-
I cant make up my mind on these, recon in the flesh they would look pretty cool, I like the fact they are splits and dished though. Where did they come from/what are they? They look good in the second pic.
-
HHhhhhm I wouldn't cross that guy, imagine you would end up in the boot of that C. And the way he has his hand on the tailgate, I would imagine he has somebody in there already! Nice mean C that. Quality photo!
-
Hhhhm my corrado funds have been restricted for this coming year, due to moving house - and with a joint acc. I don't think I will get away with breaking the rules!!! So it will be a year of plotting and planning for next year. Although I may try a few sneaky splash outs on the C... funded by various ebay sales... will see. But I want to at least recat the car and maybe get rid of a few bodywork imperfections, apart from that just keep it on the road until next year's big spend!

Ahhhh thanks Crazymarcel, sorted. corradostorm, the c actually looks pretty good on those later style bbs' too, looks much better than the pic I found. I think I am most likely to get the earlier style wheels could look good on the silver C. Should be able to get a good price on them as well. When I get them I can then get my speedies refurbed. If anybody has pictures of a C Vr with these earlier wheels then please post, thanks.
-
The second style, both 5 stud
-
I am considering getting a set of these wheels for the C in particular the ones with more spokes on it, sort of G60 style (second picture). Nice and old school. The first picture shows std golf vr6 alloys, so was just wondering what car the wheels in the second picure are from. An earlier version of the golf VR6?
-
OK, we know your cars, where did your names come from???
Ford replied to fla's topic in General Car Chat
Ford, not related to the car company, but is part of my name. -
Looking awesome, always thought momo arrows would look good on a silver c and it has just been confirmed! Fill the arches up nicely. I am loving that picture of the C in the snow too.

Where did you find that!?! What a bargain!!! One day....
