Very nice Amit - you've seen the light ;) She's a beauty! (moving to Gallery)

Jetta = slam panel/lights/grill Rallye = as above but more expensive Corrado = as above but probably just as expensive as Rallye and harder as the grill will need to be modified

I thought that FK listed one kit for the Golf and Raddo VR's and another kit for the other variants?
-
General forum, seeing as though you aren't selling a car!
-
Try having a search for "VR6 AND tyres". Search for that exact phrase and it should throw up plenty of results. HTH :)
-
I reckon these will go far in excess of £100!

Once Majik has the problem sorted, we could always delete the thread or move it somewhere where it's not readable.

And, even though he has zero feedback, he first registered with Ebay at the end of September. Could this have been around when the car was stolen?

Mike - 3 posts up ;)

I don't, sorry Kev. I just got a wiper mech from Darren and replaced everthing after the motor.
-
Alarm problem or a loose vacuum pipe somewhere?
-
Yep I had the same problem....was a royal pain in the ass and there seemed to be no quick fix. Replaced the wiper mech after the motor...(cheers G-man for the part :)) and it has been fine ever since. I think it's called a rose joint.

Blimey that's a lot of insurance!! We drive at 16 on the Isle of Man as well :) -
I was just going to suggest plenty of lube :(
-
Do a search - it has been discussed quite a bit already.

Of course they do!! They may not add 'x' amount to a cars selling price. A dealer (or auction house, once you and Roddy make your minds up ;) ), will charge more for a car with aircon, leather, electric recarro's etc etc than they would for the same car without the options. You're not telling me that if a dealer had two identical cars apart from one having every option available and the other one having none, they would sell them both for the same price?? Course not, so price goes up, average price goes up and therefore book value goes up. As the average covers all the cars sold, it is the middle ground for that model's value - if a car comes along with every extra under the sun, it is in theory better than average and so worth more than the book price.

Definitely something I'll consider Gavin! Only problem is that a return trip on the ferry is not going to give much change from £150. I already have a cat 2 immobiliser fitted (Meta again, surprisingly) and that was around £180 :x . Needed to get it fitted asap so I had a better choice of insurance companies - despite living on the IOM, a lot of places wouldn't quote without a cat 2 immob. Would you rip out the Meta immob and fit a new system? (Think this is still on-topic :))

Depends a lot really. Leather/aircon/standard/modded etc all affect the price quite a lot. Mileage isn't always the deciding factor either. A 95 VR with 140k could have been more loved and in better condition than a 95 VR with 70k on that's been thrashed from cold every morning and not looked after. Very roughly, 95 VR with 90k could be around £4.5k to £5.5k.

How come you've got purple lighting Andi? ;)
-
Seeing as though you're after standard shocks, I'll put this into servicing.

Worth a look. http://corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewto ... highlight=

I'll move this to Servicing.
