  1. Come on Andi - get it sorted :)
  2. Split this out from the in-pro thread - please keep supercharging stuff in here now pls

    SPRING CUT DOWN

I'm sure the pro's ;) could do a decent job but for someone who: I think they should steer well clear of what is, as has been said, is a bit of a quick-fix way to lower your car.
  4. Think Roddy is saying that the owners at the shoot-out might have been going easy on their own cars by not 'dumping' the clutch etc, whereas the magazine testers would be quite happy to really go for it.
  5. Well the dealers no longer stock them - only chance at the moment is ebay really and they fetch between £20 and £35.
  6. £4,500?? Depends, like is said below, on colour, leather, history/receipts etc. Edit: was a bit optimistic with the price
  7. very nice!! Have to say that yours is one of my favourite C's off the forum! Want to swap for a low-miler VR? ;) hehe
  8. Can you not run the air filter down through the carbon can hole? Couple of charger questions: What would you estimate the total cost of fitting a SC to be? Easy enough DIY job for a semi-skilled home-mechanic? Reliability? My main concern (other than finding the cash! lol)

    Inters 2003

We'll shift it to general I think Andi - how about a sub-forum for meets?

    Differences

mk3 16v golf..........150 brake? Wouldn't have thought it was as much as that...... Edit: Moved to General

    Fuel Type

On fraggle rock I don't know of anywhere that does Optimax so I always try and run it on Super. Occasionally, I have gone for normal UL (only put in enough to last me until I can get some Super - not like I fill the tank full of the stuff!) and I notice a big difference between Super and normal UL, as you'd expect.
  12. Looking good Nigel! Charger pipework next eh? ;)
  13. Sorry Kev, but I unless I've read your post incorrectly, I think you may have the wrong idea....... You need the Mk4 flick-key, which I think comes with a blank Mk4 key. You remove this key and use it as a template to cut either your C key (or a copy) to the correct size. Then you need to fix the C key to the Mk4 key fob. Of course, I might have got the wrong end of the stick as well! :)
  14. Kev, This site says it better than I could I think! Use the navigation on the left - sounds simple i know but when the page loaded for me it was on the last step and took me a minute to find the other steps! hehe.
  15. Kev - modding the key fob for your own key is simple enough and from what I gather, you can code the chip in the key to work with your alarm - obviously not a DIY job tho!
  16. Welcome to the forum Lemon! :rainbowafro: Useful first post for you! :)
  17. D'oh! Just noticed the dates on your posts! Take it you didn't do too much to it then? lol

    MFA default

Is it possible to mod the MFA to default to oil temp (or whatever you like)?
  19. Once you've completed the 'project', give me first refusal Darren? Still hankering after a Mk1 as I have been for the last 7 years!! Keep us posted on how you're getting on.
  20. No prob ;) My list: Decent insurance company Coilovers Uprated engine/gearbox mounts Cold-air induction kit (again!) Mk4 Flip-key (on it's way!) Badgeless grill (on it's way!) Blue side-repeaters (on their way!) Alloy bee-sting (not too sure about this one but it's still on it's way!) New alloys Brembo Cupra brake upgrade Momo wheel Uprated headlight loom Full set of mats Could go on but I'd rather not - think i've spent enough in that little list as it is!
