:?: :?: :?: :?: :?: The whole poll was whether they work on the way upwards.

So how come mine do it?? Next time you are in the car - try it - wind window down to bottom, press button for a couple of secs (a bit longer than you have to press for going down).
-
Well, I can sometimes get my windows to go up with one touch of button (usually when they wound down quite a bit). But I've heard other people say that it doesn't happen. ....so I've added a poll and would be interested for your comments! :)

Not exactly a critical problem really..... Having a run out before and was doing about 110 (and none of this *cough, 'on my private road'* cos there was no speed limit :)) and noticed that it felt a bit spongey when not going in a straight line. Feels pretty solid at lower speeds and handles bloody well considering she's totally standard. ......So I was just wondering what to do to tighten her up a bit? Lowered (for obvious reasons!)? Anti-roll bar bushes? As she's only on 40k, I assume most parts are standard and therefore 10 years old! What needs replacing at around this age?

He said he couldn't go to one this year ;) *cough* thumb *cough* hehe Think I'd personally go to Inters.

Another one in the 21 stable! Oh, and at 20 I owned a lovely mk2 GTI and the C VR6 :) -
Bin man. Nah seriously, training as an accountant....although my main job is setting up/administering companies/trusts and generally making very wealthy people even wealthier!!

Have I started a trend with avatar pics??? :)

Be strong Jim!!! Stand by your actions. (Even though I really want to see you back in a C! :)) House prices are pretty ridiculous over here as well (lucky I have one ;))......to do with all the money over here and the high standard of living.......think unemployment is about ~100 people!
-
Think we'll just shift this to servicing, if you don't mind.

That's http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecommerce/Parts.asp. Just in case you didn't know.

Do not cap-off the petrol tank breather!! -
Ouch.....that hurts ;) Hehe.....maybe it was because you'd had a few and actually made sense for once?
-
Foiled again eh Darren!
-
Actually Andi, for once I understood what you meant :D ....but I thought that there should maybe a warning in there for anyone silly enough to remove plug and then crank engine! Ok Andi?

Golf Ltd........*drools*

Think we'll stick it in servicing.....
-
And here was me thinking that you, the purist, had come to slag off the exhaust size.......
-
Removing spark plug and turning engine over whilst said spark plug is close to engine can be a bit dangerous btw.......the whole petrol/ignition thingy :) Just a reminder.

6" diameter!!! Each to their own I suppose. Sorry not too sure but for that size, it may be a custom job.
-
Is it turning over at all? Do you turn the key and get nothing?
-
Yeah they don't have a handle but they do have an external release, which G60 wouldn't.
-
Andi - I'm planning to basically do the Turn2-style kit but leaving the air box...just need to cut a hole in the bottom of the box above the carbon can and run the pipe down near the wing - lots of lovely cold air :)
-
Does anywhere actually offer the shrick fitting service? Do you have to source the shrick yourself? Would like to do it though.
-
Kev, Turn2 stuff comes straight from the states but they put value as about $15 so no customs worry ;) They have a very good range of products apparantly! Fancy the ally crank pulley myself. Re: mod - that's what I am planning to do this weekend.....think the difficulty may be with fixing the pipe to the airbox and again at a suitable place on the framerail. ideas?
