  1. It's where I got mine from but that's years ago so exchange rate will have an impact. Delivery I remember was quoted as weeks and weeks, which I accepted .... but then it turned up 2 days after I ordered! Mine's soft-back but I'd prefer £50 + a few for postage as it's pretty heavy. It's what they seem to go for on here and I know I paid north of £75 and it's hardly been used. Some sites quote £70 but they never seem to have stock. Amazon.ca works out at £80 + delivery.
  2. I wouldn't expect one to snap, let alone two. But if you're dropping the hammer from a standing start, the power/torque will find the weakest link in the chain.
  3. Have you considered Amazon.ca (Canada) for a new one? I have one somewhere. Few grubby pages but nothing damaged from what I remember. What are you looking to pay?
  4. Good stuff :salute: I have the cardboard but probably not the patience!! Did you ever see the the guy who built a replica (and I mean replica!!) F1 car from cardboard and ended up getting a job for one of the teams as a result?

    Hello

Welcome to the CF Adrian
  7. It's not worth anything I'm afraid. I'm prepared to take it for a fiver just as a favour though.
  8. Welcome to the CF .... the search is your friend - been covered so many times.
  9. I don't think the threads are "old and dead". Has been discussed a fair bit.
  10. Does she have a dog? Hmmm. Maybe my usual brand of advice might not be best for this situation. Sorry! Not much more to add really. Lots of good advice. Surround yourself with your friends and family. As hard as it sounds, don't dwell on things too much. Ask anyone who has been in a similar situation, but a few years down the line, if they are better off. 99% of the time the answer is yes. New partner, new home, new job etc. You'll kick yourself in a year's time for being so down about things (although it's understandable).

    Bell Insurance

Good post Dave :salute: I used Bell years and years ago but I think I moved away from them as they were awful with anything remotely modified. Just done a quick test using the Evo and Bell quote £426 with protected NCB and £250 excess. I last renewed with Elephant (who are strangely part of the same Admiral group that Bell belong to!!) in November using all the same criteria and that was £520. So it looks like I could pocket £100 if I go back to Bell when I renew. Can't argue with that ... and it sounds like they CS is pretty good as well. I owe you a pint :)
  12. Mr Bristol even added all of the ** 's to his own post. I was hoping to learn a few new words
  13. From what I've heard, there are better products out there than Dynamat. It doesn't weigh a ton but bearing in mind it's sound deadening there has to be some weight to it to stop the resonance.
  14. Done. I thought there used to be an issue where if the thread was pre-new forum it wouldn't let you change the title. But your thread is fairly new so I'm not really sure without checking further.
  15. Stop spamming the forums with your for sale ad please. Just wait for your ad to be approved like everyone else. Thanks
  16. All you need is an allen key :)
  17. Sounds like a night with Toad  Sorry to hear about the accident though! Are you self employed or are you going to be ok with a few (paid) weeks off work?
  18. Ah ha - the username makes a bit of sense in that case! Step away from the pies
  19. If that was true, you would use carbon fibre rather than steel ;) hehe
