Originally they the calipers were with 312 carriers and for sale a while ago. No one vought them so my mate offered the 288 in exchange for the 312 carriers I am sure for my ones on the turbo I bought mk3 braided hoses

All depends on whether your car was originally supplied with pressed plates. I looked into it a while ago. May have changed since but I think I recall it saying that if your car was pre 2001 and was originally supplied with press plates then they are fine. Think thats hence the grey area. Maybe wrong but thats how I read it several years ago

Sorry mate was confusing sets when you were here. The calipers I thought off a tt but the carriers off a mk3 golf Any kit needs to have the banjo fixing for the caliper

Look at your underside and see solid or it has cut outs. If you google pictures it will sgow the difference as I probably dont make sense
