I want your taillights, Hans Where did you get them ??

How come the army get away with their land rovers in Belfast/N.Ireland ?? Are they exempt from UK law ??

Power cuts every 15 minutes didn't help either. Single track entrance road could do with widening a bit. "Inters York" sounds like a really good idea. York is more or less in the middle of the UK. No more ridiculously long journeys for the guys from Scotland. Fairly close to Hull for any overseas visitors. Inters this year was okay but it was such a pain in the ar5e having to drive from the seperate campsite to the main event every day. Campsite and event all in the same place would be much better.

Standing 1/4 in 3.8secs ehh  - something for us all to aim for  PM'd Andi about the "events" section earlier today - maybe he'll be able to sort something.

If yer gears aint crunchin and yer clutch aint slippin - leave it well alone.

Hi Barney, Got a bit bored when it started raining so I went to York to annoy one of my friends instead. Still, got my Bentley manual now. So that cement mixer looking thing was the back of a jet engine ehh. Did you see what time it did ?? Maybe a good idea for us all to arrange to meet at a specific time/place at the next event we go to. Always better to put a face to a name. How about an "events" section here on the group ??

Chris, 200+bhp is where it will be very shortly (I like round numbers) Performance mods since May (when I bought it) :- Jabba R1 charger, Jaba induction kit, Superchip (sh1te), 3.5bar FPR, 65mm pulley, magnex s/s exhaust. LARGE front mounted intercooler & re-map to follow next month. Not sure where the biggest gains have come from. As soon as the charger was run-in, I fitted the chip & pulley. Can't compare it to standard cos when I bought the car the charger was just about fuc*ed. I expect to get the best benefit from the re-map as then I will have the right fuelling etc to get the best out of all the other mods. R1 charger seems to have caused/highlighted a slight boost leak. :? Not too much of a problem as I'll be changing all the pipework when I fit the new intercooler in a couple of weeks time. 8)

Carry a spare battery - when you get a "new" alarm, the batteries in the handsets are usually low quality and sometimes don't last too long. I always use Duracell.
-
We're paying on the door too - either that or cutting through the fence...
-
If it's a Thatcham CAT1 alarm - your handset may need re-coding after changing the battery (not always but fairly common). Exact proceedure should be detailed in your instruction book. Same applies to spare handset. CAT1 alarms use a rolling code - unlock code changes every time the alarm is activated. If the spare handset is not used for some time, it will "loose it's code" and need re-coding. If you are unsure of the re-coding proceedure, contact a Clifford dealer and they will be able to help. Some alarm systems require the unlock button to be depressed for approx 10 seconds while standing next to the car. Other systems require a sequence of the ignition being switched on/off in sequence with the alarm lock/unlock button on the handset. Not sure if the Concept 3000 is CAT1 spec or not - you'll need to check.

How many miles since your charger was rebuilt ??

Wasn't looking for anything specific - just struck me as odd that the site was down.

Any ideas where Jabbasport's website has gone ?? Used to be http://www.jabbasport.co.uk

JN28 (M62) Signposted Morley. There's a pub on the roundabout called the "White Bear". I can meet you in the lay-by/car park outside around 8:30am ?? Anybody else want to meet there ??

Drivers arm & drivers blade = approx 28.5 inches wiper spindle to blade tip. Drivers arm & passengers blade = approx 28 inches. I have 2 drivers arms, 1 drivers blade & 1 passengers blade fitted
-
What time does it start ??????
-
No - it's at a place called Melbourne. It's on the B1228, around 10 miles north of jn37 (M62). If your travelling there from the north then take the A1079 (signposted Hull) off the York ring road (A64) and immediately turn right onto B1228.
-
I'll be going - does anybody want to meet on the M62 around Leeds ???
-
Be interesting to see what kind of BHP & torque you guys can achieve. I expect you'll be changing the intercooler & modifying the 'charger ??

Maybe it comes with a free handbag...............

Up here in Leeds there's a guy who works for a "Chipsaway" franchise. As well as repairing chipped/dented bodywork he also carries out superficial repairs to alloy wheels. Maybe, if you check the yellow pages, there may be someone operating the same type of franchise in your area.

Please read the WHOLE post. I was thinking more along the lines of some form of timing pulley or belt problem which may have caused the timing to be more severely out of adjustment (possible knocking noise). Quote taken from my earlier post.
