External pump - again US spec G60

Here's yer piccy - US spec G60 Corrado, from Bentley manual. Golf maybe slightly different ??
-
Cai - use steel jubilee clips, far better design IMO (don't use the alloy jubille clips - they're totally useless)

Faint scratches (vertical) are caused by dirt which will have become impregnated into the window sealing rail. As the glass moves up & down this causes the scratch marks.
-
Not sure David. I still have the original dash tweeters in place (powered by CD player) & run my front & rear compnents from a seperate amplifier. I would be tempted to leave any existing wiring in place (disconnected) & just connect up the oxygen-free stuff.
-
Condensation comes under the term "insulation". This is caused by the warm air inside the car contacting the cold surface of the door. The membrane stops this from happening (heat insulation). Without this membrane the inside of the car may well become "damp" but this is due to the membrane providing a thermal & not a water seal. David - I slightly misunderstood your original post. I thought that you meant that you had a water-leak in the door, thus causing the electrical problems that you have described. Use of a circuit tester should indicate if you have power supply to the window motor.

Component speakers will come with all the necessary crossovers & wiring as part of the kit. If you're fitting component speakers, be sure to use oxygen-free speaker wires (should also come in speaker kit). The factory "bellwire" will not do them justice.
-
Just a thought - if your door is "taking on water", this will be why you now have some electrical problems in there.
-
How does the door membrane stop the car filling up with water ?? These membranes are fitted for insulation purposes (both sound & thermal) - not as a water seal !! If your door is "taking on water" then you would be better fixing the source of the leak. The black stuff sealing the membrane to the door is permanently sticky - you can carefully peel it away from the doorframe & it will stick back in place.

 group buy on the cards here...lol im up for a couple of hundred litres I'll have a tanker full..

Gonna lock this thread - use the link posted above for anymore wheel pictures.
-
No worries - when I see any more potential rip-offs on there I'll bring em to everyones attention. Such as the G60 for sale with absurd bhp claims..

There's a good DIY section here http://www.snstuning.com alternatively get Star to have a look for you. Where did you get the chip from i.e.is it correctly matched to your car ?
-
Seems ridiculously low - you have a problem. With the mods that I've got I still average 27-28mpg, maybe even 31-32 at 80mph on the motorway !!
-
SNS chips are designed for use with an uprated 3.5bar fuel pressure regulator - do you have 1 fitted ?
-
If you look at the users manual - posted earlier in this thread. You will see model codes listed in the "extras" section. The code on the siren will tell you if it should have backup

R u being serious Dazzy ??
