I think the Corrado tunnel is fine for 4wd. Boot floor needs cutting out though
-
I was looking at those speakers anyway, and ordered a set. Got some sound proofing and fitted the tweeters to the mirror triangles. Only put a couple of sheets in the doors but it seems to have made a difference with less rattling of the door. Removed the rear speakers and am now running just a sub with the components. bloody brilliant! Sound awesome. The 6x9's were good, but needed to be loud to sound really good to me. These Components sound superior across the volume range for me. Well worth the money

Took the plunge and ordered a carbon bonnet, let's hope it's good!

Has anyone put a MK4 GOLF 02J GEARBOX into their G60
Rob_B replied to penfoldg60's topic in Drivetrain
Just fitted a tt box to my mates golf rallye. Essentially it runs bigger outdrives so bigger inner cv joints, needed a custom bracket to mount to the mount on the subframe. That mount on the subframe needed cutting off and rewelding to the subframe to clear the bigger cv joints. It's also runs a bigger clutch and flywheel than the g60. There were other bits aswell. All in all, a ballache. Might be easier on a fwd car but I won't be doing it anytime soon based on my experience -
Hi is the sunroof motor still available and is it in good working order? If so how much posted sir. Thanks, Rob

They are quite easy to make up and you can get all the fittings easy enough from demon tweeks or similar. Saves buying a whole set
-
Trouble is you will just start to spin the drill bit out when you undo it. Or worse, snap the drill bit. I would either drill the screw head completely or get some screw extractors
-
Well as much as I would love a carbon one, it's far too expensive for me to buy and I need a new bonnet so I might give the glass fibre bonnet a go. Have heard mixed reviews though about their stuff though.
-
Has anyone got a complete glass fibre bonnet from performance trim? If so what's the fit and finish like? Thinking about a glass fibre job just unsure how good they are
-
Are you referring to it being the lambda probe?
-
Lambda probe is my guess.

I thought that picture was from a sex offenders register

No need to dig the old screw out. Move the disc 90 degrees and drill a new hole. The hubs tap easily enough
-
Buy a new screw, drill and tap a new hole. Only an m6 screw. The hub metal is soft as so easy to drill

Like it has been said, Darren is a likeable chap, but that only goes so far with poor customer service. That Rob chap was about as useful as a chocolate fireguard. If I had a secretary like that I would kick his a@se into touch. Good luck with getting it sorted, consider it a lesson learnt

Check the belt tension on the powersteering pump as already mentioned. It's on the left hand side of the engine bay at the bottom. It's the smallest belt

Unfortunately I had the same issue many times when I dealing with g werks. In fact everyone of my friends who has dealt with g werks has had the same problem. Needless to say we don't use or recommend them now. Pity

I need some new front speakers for my Corrado. I'm currently running an alpine headunit, 6x9's in the rear, 12inch sub in the boot and co axial speakers in the front. My front speakers are shot and I need to replace them but I don't know alot about audio. Can I run component speakers off the headunit without an amp? I'm also thinking about doing away with the rear 6x9's as apparently it will give me a better all sound in the front. Any suggestions? Can anyone recommend some decent front speakers for £100? Thanks in advance, Rob

Won't insure you if you have an engine conversion without an engineers certificate to confirm it won't fall out. So that's a no go for me

Hamilton is one of the best drivers out there for me. He is the one who has the balls to make some moves and try to get on with it. If he had made any of those moves stick in Canada we would have all said they were brilliant moves. He has made quite a few mistakes this year, but at least he is trying to do what we all want, overtake. Also, lets be honest, if people can't overtake in Motorsport, the next best thing is crashing for entertainment! His comments post race are good too, real emotions from a sport where the drivers are conditioned to say what they are told to say. Also is it me or red bull seem to have all the luck as of late? Great decisions from the team combined with a truck load of good fortune is making it pretty easy for vettel at the moment. He is going to be tough to beat this year. Good driver, good car and everything falling their way. I bet most of the drivers would kill to be in his seat right now

Not got a TPS local to you?that's where I imagine supercharged got his prices from. I know that's about what I pay for them

Thank you to pumbaa and supercharged for rocking up. Was a good turn out for a bit of a disorganised event! £314 for cancer research. Big thanks to Clive and dan for looking after us
