Corrado seats sit lower than golf seats. So you sit lower in a golf if you put Corrado seats in. However, if you put golf seats in a Corrado, you will sit higher. They will slide in not problem as the mechanism is the same, but you sit much higher

I've got loads of room for my 305mm discs and 4 pots behind my 1.2's.

Know anyone with a milling machine? That's how I've done them before. I've also used a grinder and file but that was a little less scientific! A rough rasp would be good. How soon do you need them done? I've got a mate who would do it for a few beer tokens if you posted them to me?

I remember all the ps3 owners saying how rubbish xbox's were because of the rrod! Oh how the tables have turned!lol! Hope it's a reliable fix, unlike the xbox one though!

anyone used an electronic boost controller on 1.8t?
Rob_B replied to corrado_sunderland's topic in Engine Bay
There's nothing smooth about the power delivery of my Leon. I love the aggression and sharpened-feel of the throttle compared to the standard map. Cool! I've been in standard 1.8's and they are very smooth and refined. Great maps, just not for me. Well mr student, I would love to compare our maps some time. My only concern is that I would be seduced into wanting a Leon! Love those cars! Kev, I know the Bosch stuff is the dogs, fantastic management but not for us! It's too clever for it's own good! I must say that the MBE is brilliant. Have done a few Qpeng conversions and it's so easy to work with. The software is quite comprehensive and good for fault finding. I've not mapped with it myself, but I've got a local tuner (award winning Bosch technician incidentally) who maps it and seems to like it. -

it is qpeng flavoured MBE. ive got the software and lead, but ive not installed it on my work laptop since ive not needed to do anything to it for a while (old laptop is now a macbook so not on there either). stand alone is the way forward, the stock ecu is too restrictive and needs too many sensors. I think most people think 1.8t's are boring and soul less because standard and remapped engines are too smooth to feel quick. mine is much more aggressive! -

I don't know if the MBE has data logging or not? I've never used it if it has. I was going for the simple observational approach! Lol! -

Well I tried on the way home but it was a short run. Somewhere between 5 and 6k! Not much help but it was a little tricky trying to do it in 2nd gear! Yeah it's a k03s, not much point me telling you my figures if it wasn't!lol! Mines from a skoda! -

I'll try and check on the way home! Bit tricky watching the boost gauge, rev counter and road all at once though!lol!it's probably about 5500 rpm though. It was before the shift light which is around 6500 rpm -
C & R: 0115 978 5740 Ask about the conversion hoses. Made by goodridge. I did order some from awesome Gti who messed me about for 3 weeks, then got phoned up c & r and got them next day and cheaper!

As I thought, 20/21 psi maximum boost which then tails off to 13psi at the top end. Maximum torque at 4200rpm and peak power at 6200rpm. 247bhp and 250lb/ft. -
C & R sell the goodridge conversion hoses for about £35. Golf mk2 to mk4 rear conversion hoses. Just ask them and they will know exactly what you need.

A genuine g60 pump is about £130 from TPS and you will more than likely need the new sender to go with it so that's another £80. I'll try and remember to look at what my turbo holds tonight. It peaks at 20 but drops to about 13 at max rpm I think. -
I think the sock looks the best. Not sure the spray would be that good, and only lasts for a few minutes

I always enjoy top gear, very funny and over the top. It's not so much about the cars, just entertainment. Have seen them a few times at MPH and they are always a laugh!

My bad!didn't look that close!

Mines the same. Need to rev over 2000 once and then it's fine. Never bothered me. Only done it since I changed the regulator. On a side note, turn your multimeter around so it stops reading -12!

inky, do you still need a handle? I might have a spare one at home which I can have a look for in the morning if you like?

How about everytime you sell something over say £30, you donate £1?small donation for privilege of using the forum. On a slightly different note, at least the cars are being broken on here, not somewhere we dont use. edit. I've just read the thread in question and these are my thoughts.... If the guy is a trader, then yeah perhaps he should be giving something back. If he is a trader, then he is out to make money (which is fair enough). I don't think people should be using emotional blackmail to try and make him sell something for a price that is no good for him. Please don't let this turn into a witch hunt. If he has something that you want, then you either buy it or you don't. If it's too much, then don't buy it. If he is an enthusiast, then he may want to help you out, but only if you are nice to him! telling him they are way to expensive and slating him is obviously going to get his back up. we can't blame him for trying to make a few quid, especially on a for sale section!
