I am no expert here, not by any stritch of the imagination but maybe there is such thing as good batches and bad batches. The P6000 did not last very well on the E-class, they were exceptionaly poo on the corrado. Some lasted exceptionaly well on some cars and some agree with me that they are pants. But with a range of 4k to 15k, makes you wonder! Some people think I trash my C (Never) and some people might think that G60Dub forgot to put them on his car for the first 11K. Mr Peddilorelli , You have a lot to answere for!

We could have a good chat here JimsG60 on this topic but I am afraid there will be no right or wrong answeres only legal or illegal. I could say It would be nice to be able to see what youare about to hit on the road before having to give your statement to PC Plod............. Whats Illegal about them? Would it not be a MOT Failure if your HL are pants?

  9. Spoke to somebody who knows somebody and they said it could be wound back by hand if they are free or with the use of a "Oil Filter tool" I know what he means. Can get the tool steve but how often would you be likely to use it? Not often i would guess.

Nop. As stated 80% of te time was normal driving. Had some fun at highr speeds but nothing silly. Both tyres wore evenly OSF outter was a little more scrubbed than the NS. From above the general consencus s they are soft but grippy and dont last all that long. Had them on my E240 EVO tip and lasted no more than 7k on the backs. I Do think I need to sort out my camber but the rest is OK. No gudders at any speed or pull under breaking. I do have fun where I can but as I have said. nothing silly, reckless, wheel spins or otherwise.
  11. Top Man. Well I never knew that! Learn something new every day. I will post on the How to section when I get the new tool!
  12. Ta Very Much right u r Blue. So the calliper is not seized? I tried all sorts of tools (persuaders) to get her back but no go. Where would I lay my grubs on such a tool and how much? IYO
  13. Help please. Went to change the rear pads today and could I hell get the piston back. Im I missing something. Do i have to do something to release the pressure? Yes I removed the cap in the engine bay. Could not get back. The breaks are well well worn and yes they work. I undid the bleed screw and a little fluid came out but only a drip or 2. Yes I released the handbreak. Would not have bot the old ones out other wise. Had a job to get the rear ones back on and when I did they were well stiff. Freed up a little on a 10mile drive. Those in the know, Please Advise Edit: Sorry, HAD to correct the spelling in the title... 'breaks'... is this Butlins? --Andi (Admin) OH Thanks 4 that Andi. Little rich coming from a man who spells his name wrong  But good Pointer all the same. :D

    Super Unleaded V

All very interesting people. I think it is a case of read between the lines. I am pretty sure on my experiment in terms of MPG, in fact my typical 40+mile journey on leaded would yield a max 30mpg and 33mpg on Super. The trip computer seems to confirm the 1mpg increase over standard unleaded. I am pretty sure with my calculations of cost ie: 80p pre tank extra. I am pretty sure on by assessment of performance. I have defiantly noticed greater pull and smother on the throttle but of course it would be interesting to prove this on the rolling road. However it is probably only 2-4bhp but would be pretty sure there is somewhere near 10lbs extra torque. Big Question is "is it better for your engine"? Is it worth the 80p/tank extra? I think for me is yes. I will reset when this tank evaporates and stick in 2 tanks of normal unleaded to be sure.....................

Hmmmmm? the Jury is out on that one. Must admit they were not bad for all round grip IMO but nothing to write home abt, but if I remember correctly the P-Zero's were better, only marginal thou!

    Super Unleaded V

I think optimax and ultimate are 97ron but they are a little more refined. What do you think of the figures above. Worth the extra 1.20euros?

IMO You will Bastardise the C with 2 much White. (BTW my Fav colour) Leave the front alone but if you are dead cert have a look at Stevemac's front grill .......... http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... c&start=45 The back might look the nuts if you do a proper job with a new flush panel but leave the bumper alone. I think the VR is a heavey mother in the front. Used to have P-Zero's on my old Vr6 and thought 8K from them were bad!
  24. Super Unleaded V’s Unleaded Before you all ask, I have done the maths and the figures don’t stack up in terms of a cheap option. But what in the long term? I have used a full tank of BP Ultimate and can confirm that you get better economy. I recon about 16 miles per tank or about 1 mile/gallon (60 Ltrs x 85p/Ltr =£51) (60 Ltrs x 80p/lte = £48) (1 gallon of super = £3.80) This roughly costs an extra 80p/tank But does it offer better performance? IMO yes. I would say it does, not having put it on the rolling road. But I think there is better pull. What do you think CF? I have filled up again this morning with super to be sure to be sure. According to my ave fuel consumption. Normal Unleaded returns 28mpg Super delivers 29mpg.
