nice riley, nice...(like the fogs too!) i did the same with mine a lil while back(and got rid of the red grill for an all black :D ) but i did the thin strip in between too, not sure if its a bad thing lol, but nobody picked up on it yet. gradeAfailure, i used smoothrite myself if that helps, i think i stole the idea from kevhaywire?? :oops:

g60 a 16v is pricey, very... its better the other way round for sure, i recently decided there is no cheap way to get big power from a valver. as with phil, i agree with flusted.. he certainly seems to have used the most sensible approach to valver tuning. if it works out that i cant afford the engine swap, i shall doing something similar to flusted myself. oh yeah, and his engine bay looks classicly hardcore too.. i prefer the look to a newer lump.. i think they're all ugly!

i have no problem with them building this(not that they would care if i did have a problem) if its going to put a big wedge of cash in the bank and help them build more great cars. sometimes you have to sell out to keep with your roots... daft as that sounds.

completely missing second gear and letting the standard 2.0 cavalier minger stick right on me because of it, after telling the guy he wouldnt stand a chance... luckily, he knows what i did wrong, and therefore just thinks the driver is crap... not the car :roll: . but im not sure wether anyone will be able to beat coolrado's experience though! -
the mfa shows an 'average' mpg based on manifold pressure and distance travelled, its not exact. being an average would explain why its better if you reset it on the move, and the drop afterwards... and afaik 27 isnt that bad anyway mate. as for the idle, im sure someone will be able to help you with that soon :D .meanwhile use the search function at the top, this subjects been covered many times. i looked into a pipercross one a while back, it was near £100 and i was advised of two things. 1: the filtration is crap. 2: someone on this forum said they lost 12bhp on the rollers with one. drill, panel, sorted :D

57.1 is my highest, that was with miss daisy in the back, and she was complaining about going too fast as well... we were chasing a train through the trees, whilst next to a bus with 2 passengers hugging each other on it... sorry kev :roll: couldnt stop myself. what i meant to say was, knowing the mfa, it was probably more like 40 mpg actual... couldnt be arsed to work it out lol.

dont laugh.... but i use any of the back to black type products (or even tyre foam) and then after thats finished spray and cover with gt85. and i find the gt85 makes the finish last much longer.

TomB, i would be surprised if the bora did beat your C, the chap i bought my C from has the same bora you mentioned, not that ive raced him but he doesnt seem to think the bora would be able to keep up, and thats the opinion of a guy whos driven both... but again, what do i know!.. would be interesting to find out eh..
