sensible weight for a lightened vr6 flywheel?
StormchargedVR6 replied to Chris's topic in Engine Bay
I think its a great Mod, im using a 6lb fidanza alloy flywheel I've had no down sides, stalling, jerking, etc Makes the motor rev up so much quicker, better acceleration and even better if your got forced induction  -

That's the plan, lose the standard controller but replace and improve the functionality. Adjustable temp / speed curve settings, run on time, setup via PC etc etc. Dave, like i said you should just build VR6 parts full time  im down for the controller :)

Perfect Storm, thats my aim mate  only taken thirteen year and empty back account and still only half way there  -
I must say that laying down 400bhp in a corrado is not that bad . The corrado does take the power very well for FWD When you look back at the RS Turbo with a bit of power they were a pig to drive. I would say to anyone wanting to go VR Turbo to go for it, its the best thing i did :)

Inlet on this one has been modified, not sure if its to do with clearance on the turbo or not though. There was fair bit of work done to the inlet manifold, TB is on the other side.

This is Keiths car at JKM with ATP manifold and standard inlet vr6turbo_enginebay_big.jpg[/attachment:2bjxtweg]

Got mine too
-
black dub your would be better going short-runner , if your going intercooler or charger cooler its going to be long route back to TB. Shorter you keep the pipe work less boost drop.

Here you go black dub pic of mine , this is ATP manifold with GT30 turbo 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfVRT 021.JPG[/attachment:1ia5y7bg] VRT 050 (Large).JPG[/attachment:1ia5y7bg]
