Good theory, but if you apply pressurised air to the bottom of the glass, it will drive the air out, this is how submarines work. I have a hunch it *shouldn't* make a difference but it is certainly worth turning the cooler round to try. Kev I take it you mean water under pressure as the oil would be? If you put the glass down deeper in the water the pressure increases, it doesnt force the air out but compresses it so the water appears to fill more of the glass. Once the glass is raised to the top of the water though it will be full of air again.

And under the bonnet. 8)

Doesnt work like that though as it will be a negative pressure in there without the charger.

There isnt an induction kit available thats worthwhile due to the metering head, but check out this thread to make it sound like it has one. http://corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=4361

Another good thing about H100VW's looms then, it has 2 fuses. Not sure if its seperate for left and right or for headlights and mainbeams though.

The left ones clean?

Theres one in the Motor Market this week. VW Corrado g60 1991 E/W E/M E/SR, lowered Sony 10CD, CAT 1 alarm, tax apr'04, mot jan'04, bbs alloys, PAS, well looked after £2200 Tel 01505 500421 Picture confirms nugget yellow and standard alloys. 01505 is out Johnstone way I think.

I dont recommend driving without the water cover. When I had my 16v it had a crack in it and the water went into the car, flooding the passenger side and destroying the abs control unit that is situated there.

And heres the g60 and 2.0 16v versions.

It says sohc when its a dohc?

Ive heard of the C being classed as a hatchback before instead of a coupe but I think thats the first time ive seen it known as a saloon.

I had my bonnet hit with a brick today at some point, just noticed it coming out of work and it definately didnt happen when I was in the car.

Not sure if its twilight violet myself, hard to tell from the pic. This is the best pic I have for showing a TV C.
-
Very good tyres, they wander a bit under very heavy breaking but other than that i cant fault them, in fact there the best tyres ive ever had in poor weather.
-
Yeah, mine is Twilight Violet, click on my sig for more pics of the colour. So will we be seeing the C going round the track at Kames next year as I seem to remember your golf being there this year. 8)

With the 205's it is a slightly larger diameter than standard and the 215's give a slightly smaller diameter, though, tbh, the difference is negligable. I never had any rubbing problems with either. (On standard suspension).
-
Ive ran both, go with what you like better. On 215's the speedo will slightly over read and on 205's slightly under read. The 205's are less harsh and I preffered the way the 215's drove.

You can get the alarm system inspected and a new certificate for about £35 if its up to standard. I did about 2 1/2yrs ago on my 16v.

Interested in this as well as I think it would be the next stage for mine. (Already have Konis/Eibachs and Powerflex bushes.)

Im getting more and more certain its because the pipes are at the bottom, think about it, stick a glass in a bucket of water upside down. It doesnt matter how hot the water is or what pressure its under, the air wont escape. A bit different I know but the same sort of principles apply. I think the easiest way to sort it would be to get the engine up to temp then, providing theres enough slack, rotate the cooler so the outlet pipe is the highest point. This is all providing there are no blockages of course and that the stat is opening properly.

Strange that, could possibly have been replaced at some point or its just the builders at Karmann were grabbing whatever parts were closest to them at the time.

Thats the thing, because the hoses are at the bottom I dont think it will bleed properly like that, the oil will just run along the bottom few rows and the top ones will remain full of air. :?
