My sister did this within the space of 2 years recently, she bought her first house (a 2 up, 2 down terrace house with toilet in the back garden  ). It was 50k just before prices started to rise in Northern Ireland. She sold it 2 years later for 160k and bought a house for 175k. The house she bought continued to rise and she had it valued at 225k at one point  not bad for a three year period, but as prices started to fall the value of her house has now fallen back to 175k with the possiblity of falling further, as builders have stop building homes in her area as they just can't sell them. She's still quids in, but it's all relative..... I'd hate to be a buy to let investor having problems finding tennants, but they deserve whats coming for being greedy in the first place :norty:
-
Experts are advising it's better to rent currently anyway. Sorry to say this but I can only see house prices falling even/alot more as people just can't afford them at the current prices........... I don't think thats the case in people not buying corrados, if anything alot of people would see a Corrado as an affordable car compared to what most people drive. i just dont think the market is there for Corrado's atm.

Sorry completely forgot all about this thread :cuckoo: I basically removed the plastic spine from the handbrake leaving the handle on. Then removed the handbrake tunnel, pulled the gaiter over the handbrake handle till the button pokes out the end. I seated the other end of the gaiter round the base in a way you won't get bunching when the handbrake is released. I then put the handbrake tunnel back over the handbrake being careful when passing the gaiter through the open in the tunnel, as it's tight and you could scuff the leather. I did not replace the plastic spine and just made sure the gaiter was seated right coming form the opening in the tunnel....... and hey presto  The flash of my camera makes the leather look alot brighter but its actually a good match, but it hightlights that i need a new gear knob and gaiter now  Edit: just looking at your pics i also removed the black plastic trim around the actual handbrake base.

Yup, paid £99 for mine only last week. Fantastic bit of kit with a lifetime guarantee too.....which is nice You think it maybe varies from store to store then? where did u get urs from, maybe I could give them a ring... I remember being told by Halfords staff that they rotate certain offers every 1 or 2 months, can't remember precisely but I was looking for a liesure battery which they had on offer. I had just missed the offer by a day and he told me it would be back on in the next period. Worth asking the staff?

Which tools do I need for basic Corrado maintainence
The Hub replied to yorkshireone's topic in Engine Bay
You forgot about the swear box..... the amount of swearing you do while working pays for your parts :norty: -
I've been looking on the net, but most of the sites only show a generic pic of a kit so you don't actually know what connections is in each kit. I'll call C&R on Monday morn and sort it from there. Thanks for your suggestions :)
-
Yeah mate thats what I am after only in Braided  :brickwall:
-
Thanks. Any idea of the part No. of the correct hoses
-
Cheers Jon, think i'll contact C&R again and see if the can send me the right hoses
-
Boost, did you ever get this sorted, i've just been sent my hoses from C&R and seem to be in the same situation :brickwall: Just wondering did you find a solution or did you buy new hoses? My Hoses are female either end but I was told they will just screw straight into the caliper

The Hub replied to Andy665's topic in General Car Chat
Look to Northern Ireland, Ian Paisley/Gerry Adams  they've been bombing each other for years and we don't pay poll tax and water tax was given as a concession for peace  -
Just like to say a big thank you to JezzaG60 and 87 Jetta 16v for the parts, both a pleasure to deal with and parts recieved as described  Also need to mention C&R's service, I ordered Braided brake lines yesterday lunch time and the arrived this morn, very helpful too :salute:

Either read this viewtopic.php?f=24&t=65883&p=765413&hilit=posting+images#p765413  Or find a picture of the unit on the net and copy and paste the link

theres usually 2 holes at either side of the unit (face on/off??) which your supposed to slide a removal tool into, this releases the catches on the cage and it should just slide out. As you prob don't have the tool, I think they sell them in halfrauds or you could try sliding a few suitably sized nails or similar into the holes to release the catches which i have done before and worked, but just be careful
