  1. i wouldn't pass on any 964, 993 model. Was never a major porker fan, but got wiser with age.
  2. kevHaywire, correctamundo, nearly dislocated my back wedging my not so slight frame into the car! anyone tell me where I can get a dual pole oil temp sender for the VDO, just searched and came up with nothing. I am sure I remember a post from NickVR6 aswell...
  3. just put a cork in the 5th one!
  4. ok cool - whats the point of them anyway? just putting some parts together I think GSF will be getting some hammer. Comin up: cam belt cam seal crank seal couple of new hoses from the oil cooler and water pump twin pole oil temp sender for the MFA and VDO Green LEDs for the guages (can't be arsed changing colour!) Fitted the ignition switch this weekend, made a big difference to the starting (duh!) and idle seems more stable. Get in there!
  5. OK guys n gals, I need some help... Serviced my car over the weekend, spotted a few issues which need fixing asap. Has anyone got a picture of a 2.0 valver drive shaft (driver side)? There is a rubber ring, which seems to have come away from somewhere and appears to be moving up and down the shaft when the car is moving . I have spoken to VAG and he can't find one on ETKA (need to go and visit in person) but if anyone has a useful piccie or ETKA diagram that would be great. Cheers Andrew
  6. nick - are you struggling to get the pastic bit off the metal er... bit which the gauges are stuck in? If so, brute force, they just pull out IIRC, no cutting or anything. This had me stumped as I didnt want to break anything. I assume you don't need to know how to pull out the centre console in your C - sure u've done that before.
  7. kevHaywire, yep i've done the same thing as the voltage drop was setting off my alarm all the time
  8. yep defo - if I had to change it would be for a passat (I came close to buying a couple). G-mans passat is an inspiration
  9. depends on the quality of the coilovers for 400 notes, don't buy em for looks - ride quality is the most important. if u can't save up for more expensive coilies then an exhaust is good - but for me if it aint broke don't worry about it
  10. nightmare! get it sorted asap so it doesnt bug u as much
  11. forgot to say but I'm keeping mine now!
  12. trig, seconded everything everyone has said, i've been looking at selling mine on and off for a few months. I'm fairly lucky as only have a niggle list of two things, which is more than manageable. For the sake of getting the immediate niggles sorted, just do it. Worry about the bigger things when they become a problem - you'll only be doing the same thing if you bought another "unknown" car
  13. jesus - quite a few days mate! nice motor - hope it serves u well
  14. hope that pushes the prices of the W8 down  looks underwheeled in the pics, needs bigger rims
  15. yep gti wheels look fit although not sure about the front end...
  16. vac pipe IIRC do a search
  17. 3 ltr capri Lotus Cortina, Lotus Carlton TVR Cerbera Second the Manta, nice pics BTW and ofcourse the reason I bought a rado in the first place - a Corrado!
  18. but dont do it before the RR day!!! you promised yourself no more projects ;)
  19. cool - did he travel out to manchester mate? some c*nt car surfed my car and I need to remove a shoe print!
  20. insurance is always horses for courses - unfortunately you cannot compare like for like, which I think causes most uproar. martinb, thanks for the extra info, wasn't trying influence people, more of a statement as it was something I hadn't realised before now! I've got to go back to flux with me new quote and get a match
