BACK TO THE VW FOLD..............VR HIGHLINE
Lippy replied to iow_corrado_g60's topic in Members Gallery
I would like to see that too, would look also be interested to see some black side mirrors and black rear spoiler nice work bud, those Borbets really set it off. Take it your keeping them now? (not fishing to buy them unfortunately :D) -
yep I think so, you dont lose any money until you sell it! Its going to get some TLC as hopefully I should have some more money coming my way (tax code cock up) so I can put more aside for treats! once I get some new rims and sort out some of the little niggles itll be like driving a different machine. Had a great drive on the way home last night, totally deserted b road hoon and she drove like a beaut! ideally, I will keep it and eventually strip it down for some track day action when I can afford a house with more parking! charged vr6 my arse* *joking!

kevHaywire, what do you mean 4 stud french cars mate? do you mean the centre bore is different? would be interested to know where you can get them?

Paulr1980, if you could look into it mate that would be good, however SEAT have cottoned on fairly recently and marked up the costs of everything big time. Let me know tho, cheers for the offer I am sure others will be interested too Andrew

PROBLEM: Battery light flickers and comes on at high revs???
Lippy replied to Blue_Joe's topic in Engine Bay
could it be anything to do with vibrations effecting connections to earth or alternator?? -
whats the relation with offset and the measurements in mm? Riley said a G with et35 and 25mm spacers equates to et27? I don't understand how you get to that figure
-
Realise that mate, defo don't want to have a 'mare! Will look into willwood and tarox aswell.
-
really trying to investigate the most cost effective solution, the brembo IMO are too expensive was hoping to find something which equivalent stopping power for less really (i don't want much!) i've seen the twin pots Darren sells they do look good...anyone got any other suggestions? cheers for the info JMC, i'll keep an eye out for boxter s stuff (mind you the boss has just bought one, may pinch those!)

Advice on lumpy, erratic 2.0 16v - being a bit crap again..

i can't believe the guys at VW keep a straight face. Hopefully you could find some in a scrappy! -
hey has anyone fitted porsche brakes to a 4 stud C? If so, what parts did you need aside from the obvious? calipers, discs, pads. What did you do regarding bellhousing etc, any potential nightmate issues? Will the brembo dics 300mm+ work OK with the porker calipers? Cheers Andrew

mine does this sometimes when its raining, good to know where the sensor is. Will this also effect the RPM counter - is there a releated sensor for RPM or is this likely to be a connection behind the clocks Let us know if it fixed the problem

great pics, nice work. I've just sprained my ankle playing footie at dinner time!

can anyone take the time to list the things that they would change in order? I need to task my mate to organise mine, as seem to have similar problems but not the wide idling issues. From cold mine feels like it is driving through treacle but then seems to be OK -

Jim, your not talking to yourself mate - mine is still being a stubborn little git, but intermittetly as you say - showed it to my mechanic friend and it behaved perfectly! grrrr! I don't want to spend money on xyz only to find out they haven't made a difference -

nice job andy, you could eat your dinner from those arches :D the more of these threads I see the more I appreciate the quality of the kit and experience valeters have. Fair play. ben16v, nice work ben I'd have been gasping for a pint after getting the hose pipe out (pfnarr pfnarr ;))
-
cant really help you mate but hope you can get it sorted. Mine is still running a bit off colour when it wants to be. But I still need to swap the ignition switch and hope for the best. The 2.0 valvers seem to be more stubborn, it seems the 1.8s are easier to diagnose?

how's the ride on those rims mate? what width are they

How many forum members plan on NEVER selling their Corrado?
Lippy replied to godskitchen's topic in General Car Chat
part of me wants to keep it part of me wants to sell it (well not wants in the strictest sense feels the need for a bigger, economical car) I've put it up for sale at work and regretted it. I still may end up keeping it and buying the missus a new car!
