    G60 no traction

surely depends on the weather and road surface and the gear you are in. I can spin my valver up if its wet no probs..
  3. you can have my sebrings if you want? £80 one needs a tyre you see. The centre caps need a respray, otherwise they are honest - if your going the whole hog you may want them all refurbed anyway glad you got the motor though, nice bit of history from VAG to
  4. what a shame - but hats off, with that attitude you can't go wrong.
  5. sounds like an excellent plan - these looms seem to be more worry than they are worth
  6. Phil K, clio has odd gearing in that at 80mph its doing 4500 rpm (according to EVO). Personally that would get on my man boobs. The clio will defo be improved into a Trophy version at some point. The Leon, hrmm, wouldn't kick one out of bed and would be different to the ssat. Fairly practical and quick, would get my vote.
  7. great job on the detailing, would you let me know how much it set you back. I am aiming to get it done in the new year as there is some overspray and general grime I would like to see the back of
  8. yep hoping you have CCTV wankers

    Gauges

nick your spread of gauges will look good - keep us posted i've got the venom pod, its OK - but I have problems with it popping outta my centre console on uneven surfaces. Mind you I couldnt be arsed screwing the top screw into the console above the vents, so there is probably more play which is causing it.
  11. Trig, remap was a given! plenty of choice too, any forums with a group buy on at the moment?
  12. surely do the ARB first - change the rims and decide if new suspension is a must?? Ive made the mistake in the past in doing too much at once and not seeing the benefits - much easier on the wallet too!

jeez, 280 notes for pads  I would need to move house before I get an ins grp 20 car, too many tea leaves in Manchester! come back the rado all is forgiven! P.S - evo.co.uk have all their long term tests and reviews archived on the site, you need to register but worth it if your looking at specific cars. There is an M coupe long term test aswell

was coming back into suggest a clio v6 - I love the look of them, they should price quite well but not everyone will be in the market, so could be a slowun to resell. Hamdling () is meant to be interesting in the wet, so may not be ideal for a inclement climate

assuming your budget is around 15k from those cars?? M coupe's are very nice, like them a lot. You can get some Monaro's for around 15-17k, they would defo tempt me if I had the cash.
  16. Henny - nice one I'll get it ordered Kev - yep, waiting to hear back on some costings. Will see how we go...
  17. dangerous like driving at night with your C's "candles" on!!
  18. http://www.the-corrado.net/wiki/index.p ... eplacement the new part from VAG is just over 20 quid. Don't get any other one, as they still have the same problem. If you've removed the dash before you can do this in 40 mins or less? let us know how you get on
  19. igntion switch - sounds very similar to a problem a used to have Try turning the car over but "lifting" the key in the barrell as you turn. This may not work depending on how knackered your switch is - there is a guide in the wiki for replacing. I'll fetch a link ...
  20. all this talk of s3's had me looking - I'll admit it! s3 for 10k, look mint. However I think I could be tempted by a clio v6 for 10k, just for stupidity factor. Overall, I would get a Goof 4mo as they are a couple of grand cheaper and have a v6 :D
  21. into oil filter housing??? sorry 4 being a dumbass
