gsbellew, hrmm I am sure I have read something on a forum saying that it was a myth... meh, I own a Corrado! i don't care :D
-
gsbellew, i think that was an urban myth - I believe skilled garages can do it in about 4 hours with no engine out... by the way 450th post

quarter mile burnout! amazing!

100 cars... mate, wouldnt that be too busy - if everyone is expecting a fair amount of track time. 3 sessions / hour - 10 cars on track (depending on track) is usually the standard. 100 cars at 100 pound a head is £10 grand...is it not possible to partner with someone like bookatrack and organise an Corrado only day through them? Obviously, I only know part of the story so hopefully I can be proved wrong :D - good luck and if i have the money, I will be more than up for it ;)

ok my 16v 92 I had to replace the brown sensor, at the front of the oil filter housing. I think the remaining one is white? I installed the two pole sender into the front of the oil filter housing and rewired the spare pole into the gauge. I have a wiring diagram (attached) which will show you which wire needs to be connected to the oil pressure light and which connects to the gauge. Mistake I made was connecting negative to the "G" on the rear of the gauge (it was late). Ensure your connections are correct positive (+) gauage (G) earth (- mine looked like an upside down T tho). Hope thats help, keep us updated. Wiring diagram

to be honest, i went to a track day at anglesey this year. It was a great laff, but you got naff all for your money. Everything you do costs money, e.g. £125 quid up front, maintenance on car, track petrol, petrol to destination, food etc etc etc I had a wicked time, however something which brings all attendees in at dinner time slaps a buffet down so everyone can share experiences etc would go a long way to improving the VFM factor. But thats just me thinking with my stomach :D

Red Corrado going past Tesco in Maccelsfield yesterday... wouldn't have seen me as I was wearing Audi camoflauge Lippy -
bix, probably easier, however you still need to so a bit of dremelling to do that. Personally I would prefer to have my stereo lower and see my gauges when driving therefore I think it's worth the effort. seems to be getting a bit common now tho! ;) Cheers Lippy

ah, I have used the gauges just got the holder spare - which I think it what Phil meant aswell. Don't think you've missed out then! Keep and eye on ebay, I registered a favourite search on "VDO" comes back with some random stuff but seems to get the best results. Good luck Andrew

g60greeny, thought you got Phils one? Nick, see you going to Stealth on Sunday, maybe we can compare notes :D
-
NickVR6, forgot to say, still got the audi holder if you need a spare one if your going down the dremel option. Let us know...
-
NickVR6, bought a gauge pod mate, think if I was to do it again I would shave the Audi holder using a dremel and see how that went. Then atleast if I cocked up then I could fall back onto the pod. Anyhew, here are two links http://www.venommotorsport.com/shop/index.html - where i bought mine http://www.impossible-performance.cwc.net/index.htm Having an issue trying to secure the stereo, although I haven't had chance to look at it properly. Hopefully will get it done this weekend. Its crap driving with no music to car-e-oke along to
-
dalevr6, cool, atleast I know I am barking up the right tree! now to find one for 50p :D Andrew

ok will take some snaps and get them up... what colour your VDOs JBOB, totally pissed on my parade when I realised that the Audi dash is reddy/orange. That was the one question I forgot to ask! Take it it is difficult to change the colour??? otherwise looks like I am going for a red interior afterall!
-
cheers mate - managed to get it sorted! bit worrying if its the only decent auto lectrician in the NW tho :D

Hi Installed my VDO gauges at the weekend, in the stereo DIN slot. Was hoping to move the radio to replace the ashtray etc. For people who have done this... How did you secure the stereo after cutting away the plastic remains of the ashtray mounts? Please help, want to get this done before Stealth on Sunday! Cheers Lippy
