Hey, Had my Milltek installed yesterday, however was informed that my front and gear box mounts are knackered. After doing a few searches, I have come up with the following... 1) JMR front mounts are the way forward. However, £££ is tight after the exhaust (realise they are v.good VFM) 2) VAG are bleeding expensive ("STOP PRESS") :D 3) GSF OE mounts are pretty ropey? Please comment! from a post by stevemac I have been quoted around 35 quid for the front mount and 21 quid for the gearbox (+VAT). How long will they last realistically? My engine is a standard 2 ltr 16v. I would like more power but if that ever happens I don't know. My main concern is to get it sorted ASAP so as not to damage the Milltek through excess play from the engine. Advice please?? Thanks Andrew

did anyone have their C for work at Awesome yesterday? 1) Blackberry VR standard on speedlines, CCCGB tax disc holder. Very nice! 2) Ice Grey VR6, spoke to you in the office, don't think your on the forum and didn't get chance to tell you about it. Next time! 3) Aqua Vr in the car park, must be one of the staff cars. -
guess you gotta think of your mechanical skills or availability of, 1k isn't too much but you could spend that on engine repair (worst cas) then have no money left for rims, suspension etc. There is a minty mcmmint looking vr in the for sale section at the moment wanting just over 4k, not sure on miles tho but has been looked after from the description good luck and welcome to the forum :D Lippy

saw an N reg V6(?) in wilmslow today, by Royles bike shop. I drove past driving my car with speaker wire attached to the throttle cable :D -
if I was going to spend that much maintaining a car it would have to be a porker rather than a BMW. as much as I love that 928 I think I love 993s more. If anyone wants to lend me two for comparision please PM :D Lippy

I work opposite HFS loans, the director seems to pop in and out with a Murcielago, Scaglietti and he turned up in a Superamerica today. He can't park the Lambo tho, so that always makes me point and laugh but the jealousy is still there :D

Hi Picked the missus up from the train station yesterday evening, all was well until my accelerator pedal dropped to the floor whilst I was going up a hill. The pedal has detached from the cable before, so I whizzed the lower dash off to fix the two back together. This lasted 100 yards, when the same thing happened again...b*stard  As it turns out the metal hook piece the comes into through the bulkhead and clips onto the go pedal had snapped off. MY question being, what the hell can I do to fix it. The accel cable seems fine so can you go to the stealers and get a replacement hook fitment?? Any help appreciated, I as hoping to get my exhaust fitted today but I cant go anywhere! Lippy P.S - if you wondering how I got home, speak wire tied to the accel cable out of the engine bay into the drivers window - who needs a right foot! I looked like I was riding a horse! lol

Hi Changing gear last night and managed to do this (see attached). Buying a replacement from VAG/GSF etc and need to know what parts are included and will they fit OK e.g. nothing is missing from the picture that is required for fitment. Sorry if this seems a little random! Andrew
