The cams aren't brand new, they were in my car for about 2 months until I crashed it :mad2: The same goes with the tappets as they were replaced at the same time. So I guess I must have done about 1000 miles max on them as I only used the car to do short journeys.

I have a set of the cams above which I will be selling very soon. I also have a set of 2 month old VW tappets to go with these. How much would these both fetch realistically? Cheers Phil Edit - I have done about 1000 miles max on both the cams and tappets.

95 1.0 Polo - Gutless wonder! 95 Corrado VR6 (Wrote off) - Still miss that car :( Peugeot 309 1.6 - Cheap and nasty! 95 Corrado VR6 Storm - My Dad's currently driving this Renault 5 1.4 - Falling to bits but superb handling! 91 Polo 1.3 - Very nippy but was rusting badly round the rear arches... 97 1.2 Punto - Fantastic little engine but was unfortunately leaking oil 95 1.6 Punto Sporting - Torquey, fun car to drive. I made £300 profit on selling it :) 97 Alfa GTV - Previous owner neglected this and butchered up the electrics but I'm slowly nursing her back to good health. What a fantastic sounding engine for a 4 cylinder too! Note how my taste in cars has turned Italian! And yes, in that order!

There's something about that program that really makes me depressed!
-
Yeah, I would get the the whole lot done whilst you are getting your suspension changed.
-
It will get a damn good clean on Saturday providing the weather holds out and then I'm off to London on Sunday to watch a gig :D

Cool, I shall give this a go at the weekend. I had no idea the dash pot was adjustable!
-
No, I haven't checked it yet but my old VR had the same problem too.
-
I have the exact same problem, I tried changing all mounts and it was still the same. I would love to know what causes this
-
Didn't they do an Audi TT quattro Sport with 240 bhp on the 20v Turbo engine too?
-
I would say that's a Corrado

Foam filler is apparently the way forward and no it's not an April fools joke!!
-
Thanks mate, I shall get this done ASAP. Do the front wishbone bushes affect the handling much because mine doesn't feel quite right up front.
-
I don't think you can buy them separately, I'm sure you need to buy the whole switch.
-
My car has failed on the MOT and apparently you need to buy the whole Front wishbone because you cannot buy the front wishbone bushes separately. Is this correct?

All sorted some muppet (Me!) put a single filament bulb in instead of a double! I must have been blinding the person behind me tonight with the brake lights stuck on!!
-
I might well have done that! The problem is it's not exactly a two minute job to check because I have my sub bolted to that side of car :mad2:
-
I replaced the nearside brake light bulb this weekend that had blown and I noticed today when I brake the nearside side light comes on :? Any suggestions guys? I spent all weekend getting ready for its MOT and now this happens!!

I'll be honest the only car that has completely pissed all over me was a chaved up Nissan 200sx, he must have been running 300+ bhp to have left me like it did!

Porsche Boxster S Honda NSX Audi A3 3.2 Golf R32 Nissan 350z Before I would have said: Fiat Coupe 20vt Alfa GTV But they have got into the hands of the boy racers and I can see them going the same way as the Calibra which is a shame really!

Best way to improve the handling without changing suspension
Cnut replied to Cnut's topic in Drivetrain
It looks like most people think an uprated anti-roll bar is the way forward. Would it be worth getting strut braces aswell? The rear axle bushes have already been done as well as getting laser aligned. The one critism I have about it is seems to tramline a lot. That's something I don't understand because it's running on standard wheels and suspension
