    As above, you can read whatever you like with both cars. Standard low miler could be well looked after by an old dude with no interest in modding, or could have been neglected. modded car could have been owned by an enthusiast, whos uprated suspension and stuff, or could have been owned by a chavvy type whos ragged the sh!t out of it. You need to check them both for there own merits and go from there.

    is it safe to drill new holes that close to the old ones? Is this a common route to take?

    Cant you add the bit where you blew off hlf your face pouring petrol on the BBQ?! I know its not strictly related, but it was the best bit of my day! :lol: .And i'm surprised the engine mount was only advisory, At one point i thought your engine was gonna touch stealths ceiling! :shock: :twisted:

    Sound like a good idea, i've be toying with doing something with a set of LHD guages I have. Just spoke to a friend who does screen printing, he doesn't have the first idea where to start, but would look into it if you dont find someone who can immedietly help. Only problem he can see is working out what type of paint to use, and getting a OEM finish from the screen.

    not over 3000 revs until oil has reached 80 is what i do too, it takes a few minutes to get there. However, the engine should stand it happening, and it sounds like something was weak on this one. Lucky you found out now before buying it. No idea whats blown, it could be anything without a description of roughly where its coming from. I presume the guy selling it wasnt too happy?!
