Welcome to the forum! To give you the flip side of the G60 coin.. I've had my G60 for a year now, It had a recon'ed charger just before i bought it, as the previous charger blew up after 95k without being serviced. Thats the biggest horror story as far as the G is concerned. However, 95k without a charger service is just silly. I've had nothing go wrong with the car mechanically since i've had it and service parts are just as cheap as the 16v. Engine mod wise, all i've done is fitted an rsr outlet and deleted the boost return. this cost about £100 and im seeing 181bhp [21bhp over standard] The smile on your face when you put your foot down and the noise of the thing make the *apparent* risk of having a G worthwhile. any difference in the final bill? Im assuming a TDi conversion is gonna cost you more than a VR? Personally, i'd have been very interested in the rat if it had already had a 130/150 tdi conversion. However , now i have no job! TBH, i cant see you doing either and making back the extra money you'll spend :cry:
