yup, i won an auction for a G40 @ £500. The seller then said it was already sold. Basically didnt want to sell it for the money IMO. Reported to Ebay, but nothing was done.

I bought my G60 regardless of doing 70+ miles per day, and actualy find it better for fuel consuption! However, my drive is 'a' roads cross country, round town that would be different. Good luck with the search!

I used to work with a welsh bird who was really into air cooled dubs. She came out of asda one day to find a merc parked next to her freshly sprayed beetle. The woman putting her shopping in the merc had her door open agaist the beetle, and had dented the door. conversation was along the lines of 'what the F**K have you done to my car' 'oh, that old thing? it doesnt matter' 'yeah, we'll see about that' She then removes a can of beans from her bag, goes round to the front of the merc and chucks it at the bonnet! Gets in her car and says 'see! doesnt matter!' Class. 8)

:lol: This middle lane thing dates back many years when the inside lane was classed as the 'slow lane', or 'crawler lane' (for trucks going up hills) and some people think they're too good for the 'slow lane'. I really don't know what it is with British people, you just don't see such poor road craft anywhere else in Europe. I really get the impression sometimes that the lane hoggers do it deliberately to annoy the person behind. If I see someone approaching very quickly, I get out of the way quick sharp. It's not my place to judge them on their speed or show my contempt/jealousy by needlessly holding them up. Speeding is their perogative and they know the risks and penalties. Why is it the 60 mile an hourers choose to pull out from behind the lorry just as you're about to overtake them, having had acres of space to carry out the manouvre ages before you get anywhere near them? They do it deliberately to annoy you and I'm currently designing a 50 caliber machine gun to fit behind the grill to blow the morons out of the way. Jusat because they want to do 60, it just doesn't give them the right to force everybody else do 60. What really gets my goat is the old feckin blue rinsers that join a motorway at 40mph off a slip road. This causes HGVs to swerve out of the way, causing locked brakes in the outside lane and a potential pile up. FFS you old f'ckers, just use the bl00dy gas pedal and keep up with the traffic, otherwise I'll blast you off the road with my 50 cal. Amen! Although i do find that 'inside lane-up thier arse-quickovertake-cut in front-back to inside lane' works just as effectively!

I'd return it to standard and put the wheels and ICE on Ebay. You'd be lucky to get anywhere near £2k at the moment. Keep the car.. the baby'll be fine.

I have the P77. Quality head unit, cost me £250 about a year ago, so should be okay for price now. I've had 2 Alpine units and didnt particularly rate either TBH. The CD part rejected discs on both after about 2 years, and one of the units was £500 at retail!
