Was a difficult choice to make, do i spend 4k plus on a half decent Tdi, or spend less on a g60, and waste the extra on fuel! After driving the G, there was no other option. Maybe i'll regret it if something goes wrong, but in the mean time i'm having fun! Just not ready yet for a 'sensible' car. Fuel definately seems better, although too soon really to tell. Neverite, the basic difference is the G has the extra power in all the places you wish the 16v does! Due to standard exhaust on this and remus on valver its loads quieter too, which is nice for long journeys. disatvantage is shorter gear ratios. (changing from 2nd at 55) corradowales, valver for sale - see link on my sig.

PIONEER DEH-P77. You may pick this up for under £200 now, i paid £225 about 6 months ago. Still one of the best out there.

either golf+ or PVW had a mk4 with a g60 engine in a few months back. looked smart.

Correct!! Not that good a guess, as i've bought it from YOU!! It's a 91 G60 with 99k. New charger fitted last summer after old one blew up a day after Mr Brown bought the car! It's got electric Recaros and FSH. The car is more economical than the 16v.. im getting 33 mpg not 28!

damn!! went through corsham twice today, but not me! either could be 2CC's - he has green vr and burgundy 16v and works in corsham I saw one in chppingham, (dodgy paintwork on drivers door) waved and got a shocked face back, then saw same red c i see everyday, who still doesn't wave. Was in waitrose in cirencester today, and came back to find my door scratched by car next to me. cheered up when i saw a vr6 parked up further along though, blue M***GMR

ran out of petrol about 20 meters after passing a garage, no go at all and couldn't push it back on my own. Had to pay £5 for a can when i've already got two at home :mad:

in which case i have no idea! haven't bought one for over a year, guy had one then that was always used for photo shoots of dirties. was pretty tidy, not over maxed.

Bad news, the change didn't go quite too plan, guy buying mine didnt turn up or answer my calls :( The buy of the new car should still be going ahead, I'm sticking VAG, but thats all i'll say for now..

Well, after six months the time has come already to part with my car :( Since buying it i've started a new job where im now travelling 500 miles per week so can't afford to keep the car as a daily driver, and can't run two cars. I'm selling tonight and fingers crossed pick up my new toy straight after. Sooo.... guess what i'm getting?..

this sounds great! i only really ever use sainsburys, cheapest 97 anywhere and i can't tell the difference. sure its all the same stuff anyway.

seen loads (10+!) over last two days, VR6 at castle combe yesterday and 2.0 in torquay today. as for the rest, pretty safe to say if you've been driving in bristol i probably saw you!!
