  1. Wierd! I put a reply up yesterday on this! Was my post you saw, in members gallery, Bristolbaron: update. Can get more of these cut for £10 a shot, but postage will be pricey!
  2. My trouble is i dont have a very long hose.
  3. Don't know anything of G Batt, though i'm sure a £600-700 bill at this stage of C ownership isn't unusual, as many (read all) users here will tell you! However, it's always nice to get a 2nd opinion. As per PM, see what Clive has to say tommorrow, he may recommend same things, but i'm sure he will be cheaper.
  4. Nah!! Bally, you can't let him get away with that!!
  5. aw go on! looks good mate.
  6. green J plate, with BK? rims on today near whiteladies rd. this has been mentioned on here before. I was in mates red valver, we said hello!
  7. K plate black VR6 in cirencester yesterday, very dirty. Saw owner going into chemist (he's prob as dirty as the car!)
  8. maybe? although i think it's the 'tache!
  9. 2cc, we'll have to discuss bath motor services by PM.. i've got words to describe them that can't be repeated on a public forum! Had huge problems when they MOT'd my Polo last year. 5 weeks later the front suspension arm came out it's joint causing lots of damage. I'd sold it to a friend who had it independantly checked, he was told the damage would have been noticeable at time of MOT and would have occoured over 20k+ of driving. Told the service manager about it and his response was 'take us to court, you won't win.'
  10. looking good! if you do look at selling, any idea on price?
  11. After thinking my big end bearings had gone and buying a 6A engine, I've now been told that this is not the problem! A friend was gonna do the conversion for me, but after a second opinion has found that there is actually a problem with the Cam followers, not the big end. (said grinding noise is similar) Its possible i can get a refund on the replacement block, and i'm looking at buying Cams/Vernier pulley/followers instead and sticking with 1.8, but due to being DOHC cam kits seem very expensive. Will i see much by the way of gains by fitting high lift Cams, or am i better off just getting the followers sorted for now, and doing Cams & 2.0 conv at a later date? (when funds allow) If Cams now is recommend, Can anyone recommend what to get/where to go? I have standard air filter/remus back box only, but i'm concidering further mods in the future. Thanks in advance, Baz.
  12. thought it held up quite well for a citroen!
  13. Riley, I just had to give your mk1 20!! theres 2 pics
  14. Cool! thanks for sharing the wealth! Are there existing holes on the sides of the bonnet or do these need drilling?
  15. Anyone seen/bought this months Retro Cars mag? (except Tempest!) Has a Scirocco Storm on the cover, with modified 225 BHP S3 engine pushing 260 BHP! Well worth the read.
  16. Of course it is... it's a Nissan! Plain interior aside, i think it's worth spending the extra 5k on the RX8 price, although for the money, the S2000 then becomes tempting and then you start looking at second hand options, and then... arrgh! Sometimes i'm glad i dont have £30K to spend on a car!
  17. Nice! like those rims on a C.
  18. Buy the Jetta, Buy the Jetta!! 8) ... And keep the rado, keep the rado!!
  19. Engine £600-£800 on Ebay, so covers your purchase. Then other parts on top! Worth buying if you can strip engine etc yourself, or know someone prepared to do it cheap! You've then got salvage fees etc for the shell, but prob worth a shot! Pics would be interesting.. Have you had quotes to repair?
