Wheel advice Re staggered offset and wheel choice
bristolbaron replied to Human Joist's topic in Exterior
no chance. see if you can get 7&8's or 8's all round. -
It's an easy but long job imo.. in theory you could do the lot in a day but if you allow a weekend it'll take the stress away. yep, the 2 bolts you get to from the engine bay are a bit fiddly, but it is just a case of going slowly and trying not to break anything! you'll be fine bud, if i can do it im sure you can. do you have any of the standard parts? there may be a bigger market for a standard car now..
-
so are you looking to trade it against something or straight sell? Figures will be even worse if you're straight selling..
-
all depends on the trader and what you're buying.. some will look on autotrader and see what similar cars are selling for, find the cheapest and offer about £800 less than that, others will offer a small gesture just seeing it as an old car. I cant see your car advertised on here and your link to your ebay ad shows it as removed? I can assure you though that no garage will offer you £1800.

indeed.. if you were paying someone to do the install for you it would also save a hell of a lot of hours. i still dont think its at the point where it's worth breaking if you were to sell though - unlike Corrados..
-
i wouldnt say its rare rare, but not as common as blue/red/black.. silver and grey do suit the rado really well though, so i'd keep it.
-
ive got a few knocking about but cant remember what! I'll have a look tomorrow - where in bristol are you?

where is a good body shop for a full respray in bristol?
bristolbaron replied to ken corrado's topic in Suppliers Forum
The only place I consistently hear good reviews about is JB Auto's in Longwell Green. Apparently they are expensive, however that's not necessarily a bad thing if you're getting what you pay for. If you only wanted bits done, panel repairs, front end etc then I've used a guy whoo can do saturday jobs at his work - couldnt squeeze a whole respray in though! Baz -
Nah.. Although I do think OSV had everything nailed when it comes to the perfect OEM+ Rado they're still not for me. And I say that with a set sat next to the car in my garage. :smug: There are a number of wheels which just look perfect on the Corrado and the majority are 17" splits..

that whole interior shot looks bloody lovely. such a nice car..
-
would love a set of eta betas.. one of the best wheels on anything!
-
welcome! why swap for a VR though? supercharging?
-
hmm.. i have that week off work.. if I still have the rado then im game.
-
same dilemma here - although i'd forgotten all about it!
-
any links, dates, location?
-
i hate the brocks.. personally opinion, but they do nothing for me. having said that, having run two sets of 9" rears im not a fan of them now either! Too much scrubbing!
-
have a look here for an idea.. massively different wheel diameter though.. http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

ah just the plate then.. i thought we were going to have to go through all this selling nonsence again!
-
THIS CAR.. Is the same as.. THIS CAR.. But it's now been washed!

Loads of Tyres - More stuff to come!

bumpage due to items sold/added.. -
One consideration is 195's are narrower than standard wheel spec for a vr6.. in the event of an accident insurers could refuse to pay out.
-
legal ones from dubmeister look great - those or original dealer ones available on here are the future..
