WANTED - VR6 Standard airbox/ Leather steering wheel
bristolbaron replied to bristolbaron's topic in Wanted
bump! -
sounds extremely suspect to me! i dont bother with ebay auctions any more, classified with best offer is much more effective, and cheaper!
-
oops.. i borrowed a mates van once and was very close to driving into a car park i always use before noticing a height barrier.. thats pretty impressive though.
-
there doesnt seem to be anything exciting sounding about it at all so far.. once you've paid to get the car collected, done all the graft you'll be left with a car worth under a grand unless it has immaculate paint or really low miles? personally i'd say £250ish at best.

Wow, check the number of people on the forum!

ahh.. i was very impressed the other day, google searching "porsche cayenne 17" which is pretty generic, brings up my for sale thread on here as the number 1 position! -
yeah i reckon its the same one, part of the alternator fits between that hole and the next one? look at that pic again, you're trying to get the long bolt [18] to go all the way through? I was about 2mm off for hours, lots of wiggling and starting again and finally it went in place. Have you got the plate with the arrow pointing towards it fully tightened in the other postitions? May push it that little bit to where it needs to sit?

hmm.. i reckon its lies.. due to the forum not logging you out for 12 hours now instead of 2.. -
32 valves R32?? shall we let you off too?

i'm trying to work out exactly which bolt it is you're struggling with, The main one I had an issue with from memory was the bottom alternator bolt. It is very very tight through all of these pieces, I went back to stripping everything a couple of times, from memory using a fair bit of grease to keep parts sliding as they all seem to wedge together. it really is that sort of job that makes you want to smash stuff.. i had to keep walking away from it and coming back once i calmed down.. especially bad once knuckles are bleeding and your arms are bruised. In fact I still have a very feint scar on my arm from doing this a couple of years ago!
-
terrible job! try swearing a bit more and see if you can loose a bit more skin from your knuckles. Should go in after a few hours.
-
have you got pics or a parts list for the bits you used for the air filter? Starting to think that's the way forward now, especially with my coilpack taking up valuable induction kit space.. although saying that I can't find a standard airbox anywhere anyway!
-
Welcome!
-
ah man.. that title needs more of a warning!
-
Looking good.. well.. interesting! As above, a lot of the bolt on's need unbolting, but in general it looks like a cracker. Let me know when you find out about audio.. I'm sorted really, but theres no harm in looking!

Cayennes sold and removed! -
Its slightly rarer, it will be a G reg? I wouldn't value it any differently though - work out winders aren't much of a selling point!

Tropical fish - think I could get into this

I'm planning on selling up as not putting in the effort with filter changes etc.. The set up I have is a good beginners tank, 60L with external filter etc. Juwel Rekord 600 [£110] Tetratec ex600 [£60] Spare filter elements etc.. Haven't got as far as thinking about advertising etc yet, but if anyone on here wants to make an offer first they can - if you're local to Bristol I can keep the water and a few fish so it's already cycled if preferred..
