what colour is the moonroof inner panel?

One actually came up for sale about 4-5 years ago and for fairly reasonable money. I still wish I'd bought it.

I'd love to know what i've spent over the years, I really don't think it would actually be that much though for what I've owned. I've always bought parts when they've come up cheap rather than when I've needed them and sold stuff whenever I've needed something else. Having said that TPS and GSF both know me by first name and I'm on such good terms with G-werks now that Darren came to my wedding, so maybe I'm kidding myself! :scratch:

i remember a thread from years back where a successful way of getting the glass out was to lie with your back on the rear seat bases and push the glass with both feet, having a mate to catch the glass when it came out! Cant remember what prep may have been needed first though!

It's interesting considering everyone's love for one coupe how opinions differ on other cars.. I'm not a fan of the 500 at all, however there's something I like about the smart and I thought the MINI's I had as company cars were great.. Fair play though, I envy the thought of a modern daily, especially through winter!

I dont think the forum is necessarily a 'better' buying ground than any of the alternatives with the new format. One of the best Rado's I know is owned by someone not registered on here or any other forum, he spends most of his spare time working on it and doesn't have time or interest in talking about it. However on the old one, you'd get a car up for sale you may know nothing about, however other esteemed members will have seen or know and can vouch for. That info is solid gold. Keep an eye on build threads where owners are hinting towards selling. That'll get the better cars. Or keep an eye out everywhere and get used to trawling through some rotters. You will almost certainly have to travel though, so friends in all corners of the country will be a great help!

Horray! Have really missed the ability to bump threads. Also, there's a VR6 on there at the moment, which I had a good look around the other day. It would've been so helpful for prospective buyers to know info about it before viewing.. I miss open threads.

hmm.. would look okay if you kept all the black plastics and just went with grey leather bits, but only okay. I don't think grey leather would do the car any justice at all - especially with the extra work you've put in! Hold out for black or beige.. or cloth recaro's.. I never should've sold them :(

vibra front, mk2 diesel gearbox and standard rear/left mount is the way forward..

I wouldn't rule out a 2.0 16v, however the 8v i had earlier this year was awesome. I'd love a minter as a daily.

i defo wouldn't go for a G60 with a £1000 budget.. get a decent late 2.0.
